  Family and friends gathered at Papa's to share in the celebration of our sons master degree from Grand Valley State University. We had an amazing weekend. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets, and walks, as well as time spent with family and friends. That is exactly what we had hoped for. If you are entertaining a larger group, parking is difficult. We did use the golf cart to transport guests up and down the hill. Trying to prepare for a large dinner, complete with appetizers and dessert, was trying. I found the kitchen supplies to be less than adequate, but fortunately we packed two SUVs filled with amenities from home. We planned to use the grill, but found the propane tank empty, luckily we checked on that the day we arrived. 8 people stayed at the home, and there really was not enough bath towels and wash cloths. Just pack a few of your own, that will help. Those issues aside, we truly did enjoy the home and loved the location. Papa's was the perfect place to host our celebration, and those that attended gave it a thumbs up!

  Was looking for a property near Lake Michigan where we would have plenty of the snow I miss, living in TN now & this home exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated, well appointed and plenty of room for the five of us. Enjoyed walking on the beach, shopping & dining in Holland. Would recommend this property for a getaway weekend any time of the year.

  Our book club group of 8 had a getaway weekend at "Papa's Woods" and had a "5-star" stay! The woodsy location was beautiful, the beach just a short walk away, and the house was awesome--every room was comfortable and lovely. Plenty of room for us & would make a great vacation for 2 families to share. We had unseasonably warm fall weather, which made it even better... It was so much fun that we're already talking about next year!

  We spent a long weekend here at Papa's Woods and thoroughly enjoyed it. While not right on Lake Michigan, the golf cart transportation provided a fun experience in getting there! This property was all that it was advertised to be and the owner was very responsive and willing to work with me to meet my needs. Thank you for an excellent weekend location!

  Our family of 5 stayed at "Papa's Woods" in July. The home was beautiful and well-equipped - We had one rainy day - and were able to enjoy the board games and video library provided. The cottage is spotless and beautifully decorated. The neighbors are friendly. It is located close enough to town you can pick up forgotten items - but far enough that it is definitely an escape from reality. We are planning our return for next summer. :)

  We had a mini family reunion with my parents and my brother's family from Washington. The home is well laid out. We did family dinners and the kids loved sitting at their own table in the sun room. My dad spend lots of time sitting on the deck and enjoying his book. There was also a lot of time spent on the private beach (picnic lunches, late afternoon boogie board sessions, after dinner dips, volleyball games, and s'mores). The golf cart made it easy to bring down coolers and it was so nice to be able to leave our beach gear on the beach for the entire week. We also took family pictures on the beach (great back drop)! Owners were responsive and pleasant and even returned left items to me via the postal service.

  We found Papa's Woods to be even more than we expected. Beautiful setting in the woods, modern amenities and easy access to Lake Michigan. Every thing in the house was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our meals on the deck and in the sun room, gazing out at the beautiful forest scenery. We had a peaceful, relaxing vacation. Will definitely return!

  Very Special Place. Being an East coast guy, I am totally amazed at the beauty and charm this spot displays. It reminds us of the Cape, Nantucket and Maine all in one. The house is first class. The air conditioning was a huge plus with warm temps and the smore forks were perfect for the evening beach fireside dinners. Papa, if watching from above, would have enjoyed the great fun we all had here

  Beautiful Home. Wonderful time with our daughters and son in laws and 4 grandchildren. The beach was incredible, so relaxing. Had lots of laughs watching the 4 toddlers play in the sand for the first time. Papa's Woods is beautiful
