Only 60 minutes from Chicago, this original, family-sized Sheridan Beach cottage is the perfect summer getaway. Walk out the back door onto a spacious shaded lawn roomy enough for badminton, volleyball, softball, and more. Just past the yard, continue down the path through natural dunes to the expansive, uncrowded, sandy Lake Michigan beach.
This charming house has 5 bedrooms - one on the first floor and four on the second floor, with sleeping accommodations for 12. Because of its proximity to the lake, the house enjoys the full advantage of the lake breezes, with water views from the rear bedrooms and rear enclosed porch. Mature silver maple trees shade the house from the afternoon sun.
The first floor has a wood burning fireplace, original paneling, woodwork and furnishings. There are furnished, enclosed front and rear porches - ideal for reading or napping.
There is a capacious dining room with seating for 12 at an antique solid oak table. There is a smaller table on the back porch.
The fully-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, and service for 12. There's a second refrigerator on the lower level for beverages or other items.
A private parking pad provides enough space for four or five automobiles.
