Relax and have fun in this Lake Michigan home in Harbor Country -- "the Hamptons of the Midwest" -- with all its trendy restaurants and outdoor activities.
Our guests feel immediately at home -- our house is inviting and comfortable. Plus they start enjoying themselves right away -- they receive our activities "jumpstart," listing all the ideas that they would eventually have learned for themselves -- but over time.
Stroll to the beach (only 1 1/2 short blocks) for swimming and beautiful sunsets. Go hiking in nearby woods and nature preserves and climb the magnificent Warren Dunes. Drive to the quaint town of Three Oaks to visit art galleries, live cabaret performances, or see a foreign or independent film. Don't miss the bountiful Farmer's Market or the old time butcher shop. Antique shops will catch your eye throughout the countryside. Take a 10 minute drive to New Buffalo to visit fashionable stores or look at the new Four Winds Casino. Or, drive a little further to see the latest at the upscale Outlet Mall, 20 minutes from home. It is a delight to be in the country, yet surrounded by spectacular dining and great entertainment.

The Unique Benefits of this House
Our home, although constructed Arts and Crafts style in 1927, has been thoroughly updated. We appreciate both the heritage and the comfort. Some of our favorite activities include afternoons sipping lemonade on our screen porch, reading books or watching TV in the sunroom, listening to the birds while eating breakfast on our screen porch, relaxing and chatting with friends in the comfortable living room. Plus, going to the beach more than once in a day -- morning, afternoon and, maybe, even for a night swim.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at your house. It is a truly adorable place. So much character and yet so comfortable! We really had a wonderful time and I can not imagine any better place to spend this time we had together. That was my first time visiting Lake Michigan and I absolutely felt in love with it. It is no wonder our mayor said the only thing he would change about Ann Arbor would be the location - on his dreams it would be on the shores of this beautiful lake. We will all want a return visit for sure and I will certainly be contacting you.

I loved staying in this house! It reminded me of both my childhood home, and my niece's Arts and Crafts-style home in Minneapolis. The rooms are very large. The beds are very comfortable. The beach, which we walked to, was beautiful! It is also a nice community (Lakeside) and we attended the Ice Cream Social for the neighborhood. It was right across the street!
