This stunning and spacious beach house has plenty of room for large groups of family, friends, extended family, and co-workers to gather for a beach vacation any time of the year. We've also been home to plenty of beach weddings too! There's sun, sand, and of course, the beautiful Gulf of Mexico just steps away from our front door. Named "Chateau de Beach," the home is a three-story stucco building with plenty of outdoor living space: a professionally maintained yard, brick patio and private pool, styled after the courtyards of the French Quarter in New Orleans. Lounge chairs line the area around the pool as well as wicker seating under a shady nook.
We do allow pets for an additional fee.
The home is in the heart of Destin, near the Silver Sands Outlet Mall, which offers wonderful shopping. In addition, there's an award-winning golf course less than a mile away at the magnificent Hilton Hotel at Sandestin Resort. Baytowne is also a five-minute drive. The house is in a safe, quiet, family-friendly neighborhood tucked away from the traffic and commercial areas of Highway 98. However, on the beach, visitors can walk to the nearby Sandestin area for eating, drinking, and other entertainment.
Chateau de Beach offers ample living space and the southern-style ambience and decor` is inviting, charming, and delightful. It has "fun" and "relaxation" written all over it.
Two laundry rooms help with all the wash that piles up during a week's visit. Also, the home features two kitchens: one, a smaller, but fully-equipped kitchen is downstairs providing privacy as a mother-in-law suite or second-family space. A larger, full-size kitchen is located on the main level and opens to the beautifully decorated, cozy Great Room. The room features a big-screen TV and a collection of movies to watch.
A private wooden-decked walkway leads visitors over the sand dunes to the beach. Umbrellas and beach chairs are available for rental or carry your own. There are no busy streets to cross to access the beach. A clear view of the beach can be seen from the second and third floor balconies.
Driving to the area is probably the most popular option many visitors choose, but in addition, a number of major airlines service the community from three nearby metropolitan airports: Ft. Walton Beach, Panama City, and Pensacola. And, of course, rental cars are plentiful, even the convertibles!

- House has special pool area surrounded by a New Orleans-style brick patio and beautifully landscaped yard. We allow pets for an additional fee. Guests may enjoy the sun on numerous lounge chairs or under the shade of a number of palms or the Lanai. The sugar-white beach and emerald water of the Gulf of Mexico is just a few short steps over a designated neighborhood walkover.

WOW is right!!!! We just got back from a great family vacation! The description of the house was perfect. When we arrived the house was clean and in order. The house is in a neighborhood on a dead end street so it’s very quiet and not a lot of traffic. The kitchens (there are 2!) were well stocked with all the necessities for cooking and eating at home. The beach was a five minute walk from the back door! The pool was great for us because we had three children under 4 yrs. old and when they needed to take naps we were able to sit by/in the pool! The property owner, Jeanne, was very informative and polite when I called to ask about specifics. We brought a lot of things from home which we could have just bought in town. There are Wal-Mart’s, Target, grocery stores, etc. very close to the house. I would recommend this property to my friends and relatives.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children.

WOW! What a GREAT house. My mom's group felt right at home in this charming house. Very well kept and nicely decorated. We loved the closeness to the beach. The pool area is fun and lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The house had everything we could imagine and more!! We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Wow, this house is awesome with its short, short walk to the beach, the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and the sugar white beach and the blazing sun -- all ingredients for the best vacation in Destin ever! Chateau de Beach also has a pool for its guests which offers something different and private from the other run-of-the-mill kind of rentals in Destin. So Unique. Check it out!
