We found this cabin by accident as it was referenced in a review on another that we were considering. We are so glad that we found it! The cabin is adorable and romantic. It is very, very clean and beautifully decorated. It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway! We will definitely be back again......we wouldn't even consider anywhere else. In addition, Janice is wonderful to work with! 5 STARS!!!!!!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful time in Gatlinburg. Your cabin is beautiful and was so perfect for us. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen and relaxing in the jacuzzi. Our honeymoon was filled with unforgettable mountain memories! We hiked several trails to Mt. Le Conte and even part of the Appalachian trail. The views were beautiful! We enjoyed all the downtown attractions. To top it off we saw a couple of black bears. Thanks for allowing us to stay here at your lovely cabin. The Honeymooners.

This cabin is perfect. Just wanted a place to stay while we went to the Bristol race and then some vacation for a few days after the race. It was close to everything we wanted to do. Ms. Janice was easy to work with as we our son decided to come up and go to the race a week before we left. Ms. Janice didn't mind him and his buddy staying 2 nights with us. The decor is awesome and has a1980's free play video game that brought back a lot of memories. The king bed sleep great. Kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of towels for the bathroom. Highly recommend staying here and looking forward to coming back next year.

What a Way to Spend Our Engagement-moon!!!

We spent a week in this immaculate and beautiful cabin in mid-August! We found the location on the cabin perfect because it was close enough to Gatlinburg but far away that you felt like you were away from the bustle of the town. It is also perfectly located to access the National Park!!! It is nicely equipped with kitchen necessities. We ended up cooking 5 of the 6 nights...the grill was a bonus too! We LOVED the decor of the place, especially the bears...and if you have time, count how many there are!!! The day before we left we got engaged so we spent our engagement enjoying the facility!!!! My favorite item was the hot tub whereas my fiance's was the giant arcade game! Our high points were our nightly visits from the raccoons! They were just as entertained by us as we were by them! Gatlinburg recommendations: Smoky Mountain National Park (Cade's Cove), The Ripley Aquarium, downtown Gatlinburg shops, Ober Gatlinburg sky ride, Zip Lining, and Horseback Riding!!! We have already booked our honeymoon in October 2012 in this facility and couldn't imagine spending it anywhere else!!! As long as it is available to rent, we will be coming back again and again!!!

Recommended for:Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

2nd Time Stay - We Loved Every Minute!

This was our second time staying at Mountain Memories. Janice was so kind and accommodating to us. She had a new cabin in Pigeon Forge that we went to first for something different, but we really missed this one where we spent our honeymoon. Since she didn't have anyone here past the first weekend, she let us move to Mountain Memories and waived the extra cleaning fee! This cabin is so nice and has just about everything you could need or want. A hot tub AND a large jacuzzi, a gas fireplace (which she turned on for us even though it was not the season for it yet). It is close enough to Gatlinburg and a trolley stop (so you don't have to park downtown), yet quite secluded in the beautiful trees on a mountain. You can spend a LOT of time looking around for the best deal or perfect cabin, but seriously, you are not going to find a better deal than this. Well worth the price and full of memories! You will not regret staying here at all, and you will not find a better person to work with than Janice.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This cabin is perfect! It has everything that you would want for a great get-away. We loved everything this cabin had to offer and the no hassle check-in was great. The cabin is beautifully decorated and smells good, too! It's great after a long day out and about, to come back to this cozy cabin. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice, clean, cozy cabin with everything included. (and Janice is great to work with!)

Wow is all I can say about the Log Cabin and its location. My husband was hospitalized and couldn't make the trip so he suggested I take my 2 sister in laws so we didn't loose our money. Well the 3 women got there on Sunday, July 11th and stayed until Saturday July 17th, 2010. We had the best time and just loved the area, cabin, hot tub, and pool. We met alot of other people and had fun everyday we where there. We went shopping, of course, and we all couldn't wait to get back and get to the pool or just hang out on the deck. We didn't see any bear but the last day we were there a raccoon decided to pay us a visit on the back deck. It climb down and went on its way after we banged on the door. I would suggest this cabin to everyone who is looking for a weekend get away, a honeymoon, or just time to be away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your cabin, Mr.and Mrs. McKinyon. Hopefully next year hubby will be well enough to travel and him and I can return. Once again, Thank You, Vickie

WE WERE THERE FROM THE 13TH THROUGH THIS MORNING, AND I JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR PLACE. WE LOVED OUR TIME THERE. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE HUGE LOG CABIN FANS, WE HAVE BECOME EMPTY NESTER'S THIS PAST YEAR AND PLAN TO BUILD OUR OWN CABIN HERE IN NASHVILLE. WE FOUND SUCH INSPIRATION AND COMFORT IN YOUR PLACE. I HAVE TO SAY, WE HAVE STAYED IN MANY CABINS IN THE SOUTHEAST AND YOURS BY FAR IS THE BEST. YOU HAD IT SO PERFECTLY EQUIPPED. THERE WASN'T A THING WE NEEDED THAT WE COULDN'T OPEN A CABINET OR DRAWER AND FIND. WE WILL CERTAINLY BE BACK. WE ARE HOPING TO SCHEDULE SOMETHING IN THE FALL, WHRN THE LEAVES ARE FALLING.

What a wonderful place to rekindle a 15 year marriage. Mountain Memories is a great cozy place. The "homey" touches are great! We loved the hottub! Thanks for sharing, we will definitely be back.
