You need not look any further. Just like our othe three cabins, Oak Ridge is just as beautifully decorated and we have not missed a thing. Compare our rates with others. There is a regulation pool table in the game room,3BD/3BA with beautiful Quilts and comforters, TVs in every room, covered porches with rockers and fabulous views. There is a well stocked kitchen, with granite counter tops. Hardwood floors are in the living/dining/kitchen area and there is a gas log FP. The cabin has privacy with the lush landscaping and acreage. An inviting hot tub is waiting on the patio below and with mature rhododendren, you will have complete privacy.
You are minutes to the Todd General store and bakery. Join the Todd General Store on Fridays for dinner and blue grass music and on Tuesdays for story telling and dinner as well. Railroad Grade Road is a must for Bikers and the scenery is breath taking as you follow the New River for some distance. Tubing along the New River is also possible as well. River Girl is located along the river for rentals on tubes, fishing gear, and bikes so you know you will have good equipment. Just up the road about 4 miles is the Elk Knob State Park with hiking trails. You will soon notice, you may not have to leave our area at all for a wonderful vacation experience.
Blowing Rock, Boone, Banner Elk, and Jefferson are conveniently located nearby. Shop until you drop at all of these locations.
Best of all these cabins were built by the Bairds and are owned by them. You will not find anything more inviting to stay in and we promise you that you will return.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this cabin in October 2011! The views off the back deck in the Fall were spectacular and the cabin was perfect...clean, comfortable, and very private. Although the location gave the feel of being remote, it was less than 10 miles into Boone. For those that like to hike, Elk Knob is reasonably close and had a great, not too strenuous, 3-1/2 mile round trip to the top of the mountain. We enjoyed the area tremendously for both the outdoor pursuits as well as the dining (The Gamekeeper was worth finding it tucked away outside of Blowing Rock) and the unique shopping. Thanks Connie!

The pictures don't do this cabin justice. It was beautiful, peaceful, & totally secluded & private. The total seclusion of this cabin (10 miles from Boone, on a curvy, narrow road) was a little more secluded than we like - but we did enjoy our 26th anniversary trip here. The view from the back deck was incredible - the fall leaves during their peak would have to be a breath-taking experience.

My husband and I recently spent three nights in this lovely cabin to take in some fall foliage. The location was wonderful, providing a secluded atmosphere and great mountain views. The cabin itself was beautifully decorated and very comfortably furnished. You enter the cabin on the main floor which boasts an open living area including a living room with a gas log fireplace, kitchen, and dining area. The master bedroom is also on this floor, as well as a door leading to the back deck. On the lower level you will find another king bedroom, as well as a game room featuring a pool table. Each room on the bottom floor features a sliding glass door that leads out to the back patio and hot tub. The hot tub was well taken care of and very relaxing. A bedroom with two twin beds is found on the upper floor of the cabin. The beds were very comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom. Nearby Boone and Blowing Rock are both must see towns. The people are so friendly and both unique towns provide great shopping and restaurants. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this cabin to others. We would love to go back.
