This secluded Amish style log cabin is located on pristine 30 acre Pence Lake in Deerbrook, WI. Surrounded by thousands of acres of untouched county land, it is clean and beautiful with modern electricity, modern appliances, and plumbing. It sits surrounded by majestic forest on it's own 10 acre lot.
You can be assured of peace and tranquility while watching the loons, eagles, otter and deer parade by in their natural splendor.
And although it may feel like you're thousands of miles from the rat race of "civilization", it's only 15 minutes into town for restaurants and supplies. Your hosts, Bill & Tracy are a short 2 minute walk down the private drive, and included are a canoe and paddle boat to enjoy the lake even more.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Rental weeks from Friday to Friday. Check in time is noon. Check out time is 10am.
$150 per night for weekly rental. $180 per night for rentals under a week.
Last season we had a few renters leave the cabin in very poor condition. We then
had to pay our cleaning crew extra. This year there will be a $200 security
deposit which will be returned in full if cabin is left in good condition, less if
greater than normal cleaning is needed.
$35 fee for providing linens.
First pet: no charge. $35 per pet after that. Enclosed porch is 3rd bedroom.

We took a day off school and work to go up north and gather our wits after a long and stressful past few months. The cabin we reserved was somehow occupied and we were stuck. Knowing this cabin was already reserved, we tried the owner anyway. The cabin was rented, but the owner was so kind and generous, he let us use his personal guest home next to his personal residence. It was a miracle! What a rescue!! The house was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect! Exactly what we needed. We hiked for miles, enjoyed the fall colors, spent quality family time, ran the dog, saw some grouse, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows!!! It was so unbelievably generous of our hosts. They called each day to make sure we were doing okay as they happened to be across the country on their own vacation! We saw this cottage and it looks wonderful. There isn't any false advertising here. It is as gorgeous as it appears in the pictures. We can't thank Bill and Tracy enough. We sincerely hope that someone will do something generous for them real soon, they deserve it!!!! The Zander Family

We all had a great weekend staying at your cabin. We enjoyed the lake and hiking with our 2 dogs. The cabin was just the right size and had it been a little warmer weather at night then I know the sleeping porch would have gotten some use. The night sky up here is amazing, even the Milky Way was visable. Within minutes of having sat down on the bench at the end of the pier we saw a shooting star and that was incredible!

This place is clean, quiet, and comfortable. It feels secluded, but it's nice to know that the owners are not far away in case there's a problem. The lake was peaceful, only one other family out there when we went. Highly recommend it!

We loved staying here! We've never slept better, the woods were very quiet. I loved taking the canoe out on the lake, even got up close and personal with some loons (they're huge!). The lake was great for relaxing in a floaty, but the bottom was a bit rocky/mucky for swimming - no digging toes into the sand here. The cabin is adorable and perfect for a couple with a dog and/or kids.

We loved this secluded cabin and its environs. Had we not needed to leave the property for groceries, we probably would have stayed put our entire stay. The cabin, though cozy, is more spacious than the photos make it appear, and has tons of great nooks in addition to a comfy bedroom and living room: a front porch, a back patio, a screened-in back porch. We also had a firepit, and not one but two private decks onto the pristine lake, complete with gigantic float, canoe, paddleboat and excellent swimming. My boyfriend and my dog and I had plenty of space in the cabin, and the space would easily allow for a few more folks. Bill, the owner, was a pleasure. We hope to go back soon!

We had a great time here in October 2009. The cabin is very comfy, the location is amazing and the owners are incredibly helpful & friendly. A wonderful place to spend time with your family and focus on what's important! We didn't venture very far since there was so much to keep us all busy on the property and the surrounding area. The lake was beautiful and we all got to go in the canoe. We have young children (ages 4-7) and they were able to just explore without constant supervision, which gave them a great feeling of independence. It was also great to be able to take our dogs with us for a proper family vacation. The cabin was very clean, well-equipped and we would be back in a flash!
