FROM OUR GUESTBOOK: Christmas on the Coast December 23 - 26 2010 The seven of us had an absolutley wonderful holiday weekend in Newport. We celebrated Madelines first Christmas (6 mos.). In addition to the location on Nye Beach, the house was a perfect place for our family gathering coming together from as far away as Connecticut. Best of all was the true feeling of being "home". This is definately not your typical vacation rental and we sincerely appreciated it... the feeling of being invited in someone's home. You have done a marvelous job of renovating and decorating... in too many ways to describe on this page. Cornelius House is a treasure... so visually appealing and welcoming and comforting. ///// Words cannot express how exited we were to share your home. This was such a wonderful Christmas in such an amazing area overlooking the ocean. We will always remember this trip and can't wait to return! Thank you so much!

FROM OUR GUESTBOOK: This was our crews return trip to Nye Beach and Cornelius House. We all love this house and enjoyed every moment here. Fishing wasn't as bountiful as last year but we still made magic in the kitchen with crab, salmon & and halibut creations. Mixed weather, a little sunshine, a little rain but a lot of laughs. FROM OUR GUESTBOOK: This is the first time our family has ever done a guest house on vacations. It's a wonderful idea and we will do it again. It was so nice to play all day, sight see, fish, you name it we dit it. Best of all was to have a beautiful house to come home to at night. So much more relaxing than a hotel and less expensive to cook at home that eat out every meal. We had 3 families, including a 11 year old and a 2 year old. We had plenty of space and much fun. We played many games, played pool and watched movies. This house is just lovely, looks like you put a lot of TLC into it when you remodeled. I've learned a lot about how to arrange things in ways I'd never thought of (garbage bags in the can under the one in use!). And so many lovely spaces. I enjoyed the upstairs window seat and the hot tub best of all. The kids loved the clubhouse. And the views, gracious! My only complaint is that it was hard to leave the house each day - we would have done more in Newport if we hadn't been enjoyng the house so much. Thank you, Virginia

We used the cruiser bikes to explore downtown Nye Beach, which was great because we were unable to bring our own. We enjoyed playing pool, watching dvd's and utilizing the awesome sound system on the main floor. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils we could ever THINK of needing and the guest rooms/bathrooms were astonishingly clean and cozy. My husband, two of my children, son in law and our son's friend really set the tone, great music (in the fabulous sound system) challenging puzzle "Noah's Ark" and a quaint little village to roam around in and explore. Your home is lovely and we hope to come back soon. ***** Pleasant first night, quickly settled in, no problems. Enjoyed a waterfront meal, nice service, good food. Then stayed awhile at The Irish Pub, maybe having one too many!, but lots of fun, with good music. Later some soaked in the hot tub till late. Very nice over all. Day two: More of the same, eating way too much great food. Walks on the beach etc. We'd really like to take this home back with us, but....
