White washed floors, high ceilings with skylights and lots of windows and beautiful mid century furniture will make this your perfect summer or year round retreat. 2 Bedrooms upstairs, Master with a queen size bed and 2nd bedroom with a twin size bed with a pullout trundle, with a full beach glass tiled bathroom. (Ann Sacks) in between the rooms. Matresses are top of the line. 1 bedroom downstairs( full size bed) with a large walk in shower and washer/dryer. (white subway tiles and beautiful oversized trough sink. Granite counters (looks like the beach) and stainless appliances. Cooking is a dream overlooking the beach and sunsets. Wrap around deck will give you hours of shade in front under the mature oak trees and bright sunshine in the back overlooking your private beach and soundfront views northwest. ( Teak furniture with custom box cushions for lounge chairs)
Other ammenities include: Large Gas grill (1 extra tank), Fishing rods, bicycles (2 adults , 2 child), beach chairs, umbrellas for the beach and outdoor dining table. Kitchen is fully stocked, coffee maker, blender, juicer, dualit toaster, caphalon pans and many serving bowls and platters. Perfect for the gourmet chef.

Why the Owner Chose Southold
We lived in NYC at the time and we wanted a place that we could go that was away from it all..We rented for many years in the Hamptons and decided we wanted to buy a house on the water. Friends of ours had owned on the North Fork and invited us to their home and gave us a tour of the area... Well we just fell in love with the North Fork. .It reminded us what the South Fork was like before all the crazy build up.. We bought the house without even seeing the inside (we gutted and renovated the entire inside). Loved the Long Island Sound and loved facing the sunset over the water...Wanted peace and quiet and a low key atmosphere that still had some good restaurants in case we wanted to wander out... Just let me know if you need some recommendations... Also love the fact that there are so many farm stands (many strictly organic, like Sang Lee) within a mile from the house... Bought the house because the location is absolutely PERFECT!!!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Perfect Sunsets that look like they are centered right in front of the deck and smiling down at you... LI Sound, which can feel like the ocean on some days (crazy waves) and smooth as silk on others... The fact that our house is in front of both houses on either side, giving us a great sense of privacy without feeling you are on top of your neighbor... Great neighbors who respect your privacy and are lovely to get to know... Cooking for friends and entertaining on the deck while the sun goes down... Collecting beach glass (crazy amount on the beach). Kayaking right in front of the house... Bicycle riding all around the neighborhood...

Spending two weeks in January in a beach house may not be everyman's idea of a perfect holiday but for us it was just that. Basically we are not beach combers but hikers so we walked the beaches and backroads and at night enjoyed a blazing fire. This modern house is flooded with light. From three sides one has a view of the Long Island Sound which on some days is placid and on others violent. The house is open, decorated in a minimalistic style, very comfortable and furnished with every amenity. In a word it is first-rate. We enjoyed each minute of our stay and most definitely would love to return. Marty (Forest Hills)

I took my Mom & her sisters here in late Sept. I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful time we had. We didn't even want to leave the house at all. Best views, fully equipped kitchen,great sound system for music, right on the beach..this house had it all & was immaculate too! It is in a great location if you did want to explore, there were plenty of restaurants near by, the town of Greenport is just mins. away Lorin (owner) was very nice & accommodating, making sure your needs are taken care of. Now that it is winter & snowing here (every other day) on L.I. I find myself wishing I were able to go back to the house & just sit by the fire & look out at the snow & water..it must be beautiful. I will definitely put that on my bucket list! To be able to have & give these memories to my loved ones will last a lifetime.

We spent 5 amazing days in this wonderful house, with two more couples. Everything was perfect!! The house is super warm and cozy, the view is AMAZING and everything worked perfect. I surprised my fiancee for his birthday by renting this beautiful house for the weekend. I was concerned because we arrived at the house at night, in the middle of a terrible storm. The house is right on Long Island Sound and there were 50 mile per hour winds. I thought the weekend could be ruined. As soon as we turned the key and entered the house we knew our weekend was going to be perfect. The house was just beautiful. It was even more beautiful in person than it was in the pictures I saw on the internet. The next morning when we walked outside the bedroom we saw the most magnificent view imaginable. The surf was rough and the winds were howling but the view was just breathtaking. The house was warm and inviting and we loved it and had the most wonderful weekend. It was the PERFECT WEEKEND IN THE PERFECT HOUSE. My fiancee said he could not have asked for a better birthday present. We hope to return again soon. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your magnificent home.

We had a fabulous relaxing weekend at this beach house. The views, sunsets and stargazing were absolutely amazing. Lorin was a pleasure to work with. The house inspired us to start our own sea glass collection. We look forward to returning in the future.

This gorgeous beach home was just awesome! We can't wait to return and absolutely hated to leave. Stunning views from every room will make your stay so memorable and the beach is truly steps away from the deck. The entire home is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is a dream to work in with panoramic sound views as you prepare your meals. Everything is immaculate and the location couldn't be better. Bring your bathing suit and toothbrush and everything else you could need is here! Also this home is equipped with the best and most comfortable beds!! The landlords are terrific to work with and have thought of everything to make this a wonderful place to vacation. Great artwork, books to read, bikes and games for kids....I can't say enough about how spectacular this place is.....not to mention brilliant sunsets and great stargazing. Stay here and you definitely won't be sorry!!! Wish next year was here already!

This is an incredibly immaculate house located right on the beach... When we arrived it surpassed my expectations and was even more beautiful then the photos..You feel like you are on a boat... The wonderful details in the house, jug full of beach glass, hard cover travel and art books, paperbacks were just wonderful... Love your watercolors in the upstairs bathroom... Where did you get that fabulous wall hanging in the downstairs bedroom? It is obvious that the owners take great care with their home... Lorin was incredibly helpful and her renters instructions covered everything you could possibly think of and more. I would recommend this house to anyone who appreciates great design and wants an open feeling right on the water... Cool mid century couch in the living room... Definitely will be back next summer.. Thanks again for a great vacation...

My family stayed at this beautifully renovated house earlier this summer. We were thrilled with the location, not only are u right on the beach, but it is so very private and ideal for young children.The house is more gorgeous than the photos and the sunsets are spectacular.We loved being on the North fork, much more low key than the South Fork. The house is well equipped-the owner must be a cook!! We will definitely come back next summer.
