  We found this place on the internet and after comparing several cottages and reading the reviews we were sure we found our place with the Crows Nest - and were not disappointed! We fell imediately in love with this cottage and it's surroundings. It's like a little oasis. The perfect beach is 2 minutes walking distance away, shops are within walking distance or a short drive away. And there is so much to see and do! For us as a family with two little children, it was perfect! The owner of the place is a very nice lady and makes you feel welcome, but also lets you have your privacy. But if there's a question or anything, you can be sure that she's there to help. We honestly wouldm't know what to change or improve there! For us it was the perfect holiday!

  My family of 4 just returned from Anna Maria and the Crow's Nest! We loved it!!! The owners were so helpful when needed. I loved the accommodations, proximity to the beach, heated pool. and all Anna Maria has to offer. We are indeed returning! Loved it!

  The Crow's Nest is located in Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island and it is a very special place. The owners are responsive to guest requests and took care of the few requests we had. The lush tropical setting is beautiful. And the fact that we were able to bring our dogs along was wonderful! We had a great stay. One thing you should know if you're considering a stay is that the Crow's Nest is perfect for one couple or a couple with children. This is because the one bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. We had two adult couples in our party and the bathroom location was not ideal. Especially at night. Overall everything was great and we plan to return.

  Our families had the best time at the Crows Nest, tropical storm and all! It is such a nice place to relax. We are planning on comming back every year. It is so nice and secluded, it's easy to forget about everything and just have fun with your family. Thanks again for all the great memories! See you next year!

  Spinnaker's is a very special place for us. We are local, but enjoy spending our vacation time out on the beach whenever possible. Two years ago my husband and I were looking for a pet friendly place that had a pool and was large enough for our daughter and her boyfriend to join us when they visited from VA. Spinnaker's far exceeded our expectations, and we had a fabulous time there. Not only did my daughter and her boyfriend visit us there but, on our last night, they got engaged! In August of 2011 my daughter was planning her beach front wedding and we wanted a place for our daughter and her bridesmaids to get ready before the wedding, and where my husband and I could relax after all the festivities were over.. It was just natural for us to think of Spinnaker's since we'd had such an awesome time the previous year. We also rented the smaller cottages for other members of our family. It was great because we were all together, yet had the privacy of our own cottages. Our photographer came before the wedding and took some gorgeous photos in the beautiful setting. Again, Spinnaker's exceeded our expectations, and again it was a part of a significant event in our family. We have begun to think of Spinnaker's as our 'home away from home' and when we began discussing where to stay this coming summer, my husband and I both agreed that the only choice is Spinnaker's. The exterior is lovely and tropical, and the inside is tastefully decorated with an isalnd decor and is clean. I am quite particular about cleanliness, and let me tell you, this place is clean. It is quiet and relaxing and the owners and so easy to work with! I just can't say enough about how much we love Spinnaker's!

  I kind of hesitate to write this, I don't want to make it any harder to rent at Spinnakers once more people find out about it. Because this is truly the best place to stay if there are four or less of you. Over the past 20 years, I've stayed at a number of places on the island and my first choice is always Spinnakers. There are just four of us-- including my wife and two daughters-- and Spinnakers, particularly the Crows Nest, is perfect for a family of that size. It's always clean, well decorated, and inviting; and that's something a lot of places on the island can't necessarially claim. A lot of places seem to think that just because they are near the beach, you'll take whatever accommodations you can get. Not so with Spinnakers. The beach is a short walk away-- two-to-three minutes tops. And let me tell you, this the best beach in North America. Moreover, shopping and restaurants are only a few blocks away (be sure to stop by Duffys, probably the best burger on the island). And if you don't feel like spending time on the beach, their salt water pool is a great alternative, especially if you want to barbeque in the evening. They've got a beautiful courtyard that the Crow's Nest looks down on, and bikes are available if you want to cruise around the northern tip of the island. My wife and youngest daughter are in the habit of biking every morning to whereever we are going for breakfast (usually the Rod & Reel). If the Crows Nest is booked, get one of the cabins. Although not as spacious as the Crow's Nest, they are comfortable, just as well decorated, and just as inviting. Mention the word "paradise" to me and Spinnakers is what comes to mind. In fact, when I die-- assuming I go to Heaven; and that's a pretty big assumption-- Spinnakers is what I picture the accommodations in Heaven as being... with the beach just a block or so away.
