The Crows Nest is nestled in a lush tropical landscape on quiet Anna Maria Island. Our guests return year after year to enjoy our little slice of paradsie! Kids love this cottage, it feels like a grown up tree house!
If you are looking for an island getaway - we have the perfect place. The Crows Nest has a wonderful deck, have your coffee and muffin or a fresh florida orange outside in the morning light!
You can begin your day walking on the beach with the sunshine on your shoulders and sugar sand between your toes or poolside surrounded by the tropical garden.
Need an afternoon out of the sun? Flip the dinner table over and play some cards or a game of bumper pool!
Grill out, eat out or bring take out back to enjoy on the deck or poolside- AND Don't forget to catch the sunset! We have amazing sunsets on our island and we can not think of a better way to celebrate each day and welcome the evening like watching the sun sink into the tranquil Gulf of Mexico!

- The Crows Nest Cottage is a very cool place to stay... many have referred to it as their home away from home and kids often feel like they are in a very nice tree house! This cottage can sleep up to 6 easily. We also have two other cottages, Listing #382030 & #382185

- we also own a sight seeing boat called the gnarly mangrove. ask us for more info about booking a custom cruise! take a ride around the island, watch the sunset, explore sandbars exposed only at low tide or watch the dolphins playing and feeding in the bay!

Our family bought Spinnakers over 10 years ago! My name is Amy, my husband Nate and I run this great place that we are so happy to call home! I was born and raised in Manatee County- we are now raising our kids here as well!
Why the Owner Chose Holmes Beach
We bought property on Anna Maria Island because it is truly a great place!
My parents are originally from Illinois and vacationed in Florida for years. Once they married they decided Florida was the place for them. In 1975 they moved to Bradenton, that is the town you go through to get to Anna Maria Island.
At first they owned a restaurant on the beach called the Coconut Hut, which is today called the Gulf Dr. Cafe. When I came along in 1977 they decided to get out that business and started doing construction and art. In the 90's they found a peice of property on the island and started to build their dream house!
While I was away at college and met my husband... we would come to AMI for visits... when it was time to get married and pick what place was to be "home" we came here! Together we bought "Spinnakers" in 2000. We are so fortunate to live here, we get to share this paradise with all that come to visit!
Over the years we have built up our return business and enjoy seeing our guests come back year after year!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Spinnakers is located in a great part of the island, we are in Holmes Beach- the center really... within walking distance there are shops and restaurants. Also VERY CLOSE to the beach- it just does not get any better!
