wild life which includes the bold eagles that nest in our cove, loons, and heron. Enjoy a peaceful paddle cross the lake in our kayaks, canoe, or windsurf on a breezy day. Have fun
with your family swimming on a beautiful beach that is shallow to start so there is no fear of the little ones falling into deep water. You can swim out to the floats where the water is
deeper to jump from or just relax and sun bath. The sunset and stars here are breath taking.
We also have a 2 bdrm 2 full bath newly built home just a short walk down the drive from the lakefront home. Price is $500-$750 wkly or winter months $1500 monthly.

I stayed at the lake house for 2 weeks and had a great time. It has all the comforts of home and all one would want available for a vacation. The lake is lovely and very peaceful. It is a great location -- close to downtown Belfast and a neighbor grocery store. Enjoyed the quiet surrounds; the gas grill & the kayaks. I will definitely return. This is a perfect vacation spot for a family.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.

My wife and I came across this property several months ago on VRBO, and right away I knew I wanted to rent it. We booked the house and then waited and waited for vacation time to come. And was it ever worth it. We have rented other properties in the area before, and enjoyed them, but this was something else entirely. It feels like home the moment you set foot through the door. The open floor plan is perfect for socializing, the surrounding land makes it more than easy for people to split off and do their own thing if they want. The setting is beautiful and serene, and it is difficult not to be hypnotized by the sound of the stream and the chirping crickets, eagles and loons. Watching the eagle bath on the beach in front of the house often was so beautiful. We enjoyed grilling, exploring the stream, using the firepit and just the overall feeling of peace and comfort that seemed to flow from the house. Robin and Jim were very accommodating. My only regret is that we did not book a longer stay. Oh well, we won't make that mistake again. It's already been decided that we will be returning next year, and hopefully for regular visits for years to come. Thanks so much for providing the opportunity!

What a wonderful stay! We originally were supposed to stay 2 months, but we were very glad it was extended to 4 months. Even in winter, the natural beauty is breath taking and the owners were very courteous and helpful. The property is located near a delightful small town grocery store and of couse, the town of Belfast, approximately 8 miles away. Coastal attractions are not far away. It is very quiet and peaceful, good for serenity. Very clean and very well maintained. We both hope that we can come back in the future. We would highly recommend this home to anyone.

The lake house was a perfect location for a long weekend trip to Swanlake. The house was located right on the lake with spectacular view across the lake and mountains. As described, the house is well equipt with everything you would need for a vacation, including a large gas grill, fire pit and kayaks. As there was 6 of us staying we occupied all of the rooms but found that their was ample space for all of us. The owners Robin and Jim were both very pleasant and accomodating. During the weekend we went hiking and golfing along with setting up a volleyball game in the large front lawn. We also spent a great deal of time relaxing on the large porch. The house is quite close to the Belfast to skip in town for a movie or dinner. I look forward to returning again soon!
