Villa Bougainvilliers is a beautiful and charming 2 bedrooms, 2 baths home with a pool, overlooking the peaceful Marigot Bay.
This private home is nestled in a ½ acre colorful garden full of bougainvilleas, palm trees and tropical flowers.
You will enjoy the quiet sandy beach located right across the small road at the end of the property, as a good spot for snorkeling among the sea turtles, lobsters and many other tropical fish species living in the natural reserve.
Villa Bougainvilliers is just minutes away from shopping, dining and many more beautiful beaches.
The two spacious bedrooms are on either side of the living room for more privacy.
Both have French doors leading to the terracotta tiled terraces separated by the pool.
Each bedroom has its own private bathroom and its own air conditioning system (splits system which is very silent).
The bedrooms and the living room have beautiful vaulted high ceilings with fans and the villa is very airy.
The dinning area is on the covered terrace, next to the pool, facing the ocean and garden view.
The kitchen has everything you need and is separated from the living room by a breakfast tiled bar.
Villa Bougainvilliers is fully equiped; all you need to bring for a marvellous vacation is your bathing suit and favorite music.

Why the Owner Chose Marigot
As far as I can remember I dreamed of a deserted island. In 1987, I purchased a piece of land on St Bart without even visiting it. The first time I landed there, I fell in love at first sight with this beautiful and very unique island so I decided to build this villa.
A few years later my family and I moved to St Bart for 6 wonderful years. My kids were young and they now have great and marvelous memories of their childhood there.
25 years later I still love the place. In fact, St bart is the only place I really feel home. According to family's members and friends this island is this kind of rare place in the world where you get a special feeling of peace and safety.
Something I never get tired of is having breakfast on the terrace facing this incredible view.
I hope you will also discover all the wonders of this amazing island.

The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Villa Bougainvilliers is very private, nestled at the top of its garden, surrounded by trees and flowers.
From the door entrance and parking lot a private drive way will lead you down to a small road that you just need to cross in order to enjoy the peaceful Marigot Bay Beach.
The villa is very airy and lightful. You can see the ocean from every where you are: the kitchen, the living room and the 2 bedrooms.
It is well furnished and maintained. We make improvements every year because this is a place we love.
I would say that the main qualities of villa Bougainvilliers are privacy, peace, view (you don't see any other house from it), building quality, comfort and of course its private pool.

Villa Bougainvilliers has a lovely view perched on a hilltop in St. Barths. The location is perfect for exploring any other part of the island. The villa is set up nicely for a small family or two couples vacationing together. The property is well-maintained, and the local property manager very helpful! Would love to return to this paradise!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this beautiful villa. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we got the quiet, secluded, and very private house that we had hoped for. Mathieu met us at the airport and was extremely helpful in every way, from shopping to a dead battery in our rental car one day. The house was incredible! The view from the pool deck was spectacular and the ocean breezes made it very comfortable. The bedrooms are both airconditioned but we really didn't need it at night. It was great to listen to the waves. We walked down the driveway to the beach which has excellent snorkeling. We enjoyed the 3 friendly turtles which visited everyday. We drove all around St. Barts and stayed in Gustavia our last night, but this villa is definitely in the best area. It's beautiful, and a great snorkeling beach is just a short walk. We will go back!

Our family of 3 stayed for a week in August ‘10. Great house, great location, zero hassle with either Francois (the owner) or Matt (on-site manager who is always on call for any issues – there weren’t any), will definitely come back again to the same spot. Very smart layout of the property, it is designed in such a way you’d never guess there are other houses around the villa. Total privacy, you would not see or hear other people, pretty amazing. Inside, the 2 bedrooms are separated by the living room and kitchen, could easily fit either two couples or family of 4. Clearly, the place was designed by the owner to live there full-time. Fully equipped kitchen allowing you to cook at home anything you want, including a big casserole for lobsters. We loved the pool that’s a centerpiece of the courtyard – it’s large (maybe 25-30ft long & 12-15ft wide) and deep enough (6ft) to enjoy a nice swim for an adult, would be great for kids learning to swim. The terrace gets sun pretty much all day long, so you could tan right by the poolside. The view from the terrace is gorgeous overlooking the Marigot bay, you would sit looking a the ocean and boats on the horizon, and feel the breeze coming in. The villa is literally located some 150-200 yards (or meters) going uphill from the Marigot beach, the only “green” beach in St Barts where you could snorkel to observe marine life, turtles, a sleeping shark, etc. I guess for that reason the beach is never crowded (we would see only a couple of families there), it almost feels like a private beach belonging the small community surrounding it. Marigot bay is shielded from the open ocean, so it’s not windy, and the water is calm. If you’re interested in active sports, it’d be at most a 5-min drive down the road to Grand Cul de Sac turning right from the villa (passing Guanahani to which you could walk), and perhaps 7-10 min further down to Le Toiny for surfing, or you could turn left from the property and drive 7-10 mins towards Lorient. To us Bougainvilliers sounds like one of the best deals in St Barts for what it offers.

I encourage anyone looking for a wonderful home to stay in on St. Barth's to consider Villa Bounganvilla. very affordable and very convenient to shopping and restaurants. It is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views and a nice beach within a few mins walk that is good for snorkeling or you can make a quick drive to all the beaches. the owners Mimi & Francois were very accessible and everything was just how we imagined. When we arrived on the island, their on-island manager was waiting despite our ferry being an hour late... and it is definately the only home on the island with a turtle that shows up every night at 5pm expecting to be fed!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children.

We shared Villa Bougainvilliers with another couple for a week and thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent there. The view of Marigot Bay from the outdoor patio is incredible and the sound of the breaking surf is what a vacation is all about! The villa is cozy and well furnished but it is really the view, comfort and beauty of the patio, pool and surrounding landscape that make Villa Bougainvilliers a special place. That and the fact that it sits in paradise, i.e. St. Barths!!! Other pluses include the short walk to snorkeling; the short drive to nearby grocery stores (as one must have fresh bread and croissants when one is in St. Barths) and shops; and the WIFI which allowed us to stay in touch with home while we vacationed in paradise. Last, and certainly not least, the owners are two of the nicest people I have met. They really made us feel comfortable in both preparing for and enjoying our stay. Thank you, again, my friends!

Just returned from a wonderful week at this Villa! Visited many islands and this was the best. Beautiful beaches, great shopping and restaurants. Villa is very private and has an amazing view of Marigot Bay, which is accessible by walking to end of drive and crossing small road. Snorkeling there was amazing. We could hear the surf from the patio, where we ate breakfast and dinner most days. Owners made it easy and caretaker was very helpful. We will go back again and we will stay in this Villa!

Had a wonderful time here! Villa has outstanding views of the ocean and you can hear the surf. Very comfortable sleeping quarters, well equipped kitchen and living room. Owner made renting process extremely easy and property manager was very helpful also.

Thank you for these wonderful holidays. We just came back from this paradise island and this lovely house. Everything was perfect. This villa has such a magnificent view in the middle of its tropical garden, overlooking Marigot Bay it s just stunning!!Restaurants & bars, beaches, tennis ,shops...everything is just within a few minutes. You definitely feel home away from home with all the assistance you need when required.
