Welcome to Sunrise Shores condominium 6 in Jacksonport. This unit is ideal for large parties, family reunions, wedding groups, etc. The condo has free wireless Internet(10 meg speed)and unlimited Nationwide long distance service. Many visitors to the Peninsula experience unreliable cell phone reception, so this is an important feature to consider.
This unit is 3200 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a huge bonus room and a large loft overlooking the living room with incredible lake and sand beach views. Three of the 4 bedroom have lake/sand beach views and balcony access. There is a 2 story stone fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, garage, and was brand new for rental in summer of 2008. In addition, we have other condos at Sunrise Shores which can accommodate more guests. We are still a small operation of only 6 condos on 190 feet of private sand beach in a tranquil area of the peninsula with some of the best sand beach in Door County.
This condominium has two stories of views of Lake Michigan and its sand beach. Furthermore, there are balconies with water view from both stories as well as from the master bedroom. The construction of this unit has taken full advantage of maximizing the amazing views. It is truly and exceptional property and location!
Jacksonport is centrally located between the more commercial destinations of Door County. Jacksonport is a small, quaint village perfect for families with small children who appreciate quiet calmness and a relaxing atmosphere. It is just a few miles from Cave Point County Park and Whitefish Dunes State Park where you can find caves, cliffs, sand dunes, miles of trails and nature walks, lookout points and friendly wildlife.
Miles of sand beach are just footsteps from the condominium, which is rare in Door County. Children can build sand castles and families can walk the miles of sand beach shoreline. It is the perfect place to "relax and walk the beach with the kids" since you can follow the sand to any point in the village whether it be the grocery store, the park, church, a place to eat or the town bakery.

Why the Owner Chose Jacksonport
In the 1800's, the first LeClairs came from Quebec to the shores of Jacksonport to commercial fish. Three generations of LeClairs were commercial fishermen. Then, the third generation began rental business on their beautiful beaches. After WWII, our father, Richard LeClair, purchased this beach property which was next to his parents homestead. For 50 years, he and our mother (Helen) operated small cottages on the property, with the same guests returning year after year. In 2006, the family decided to remove the cottages and to build 6 condominium units in their place.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
This is a unique area of Door County, in that it has some of the best sand beach but it is still very calm and tranquil. Jacksonport is centrally located between the more commercial towns of the peninsula, yet it still remains pleasantly uncommercialized. There is everything that a small town should have, such as restaurants, shops, churches, a grocery store and park. It is a perfect, relaxing home base for families to take in relaxing days at the beach - yet take short trips to the north, west and south at other times. The most visited areas of Door County are all within 5 - 20 minutes of the condo and the short drives are beautiful!
