We have been going to the Abaco's for many years and have stayed in many different homes, but this one was by far one of the very best. You can tell the owners took pride in building, professionally decorating, and caring for this home. Don't take anything with you, because this house has it all. Only steps from the beach (excellent surfing) and we docked our boat at the Government dock next to Sea Spray Marina, which is just a short distance from blue water and big game fish. We will certainly be back to Catch-A-Wave.

Fantastic house in an incredible location. Not only is the house beautiful but the location on the island is perfect. This part of the Bahamas is a paradise. Very well appointed and clean house and we loved the decor. The locals are very friendly and helpful and this is a very safe place to travel. Perfect place to relax and plenty of things to do as well. No pictures of the house or the island can do it proper justice, it's beautiful! The owners went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome as did all the locals we met. Put this house and this island on your list of places to see, you will be glad you did!

We stayed in Catch A Wave for a week of great swimming, snorkeling, surfing, boating to the nearby islands, sampling all the beach bars, and trying to determine which was our favorite beach...but each beach was more beautiful than the next. Catch A wave was a perfect location for a quieter stay, views of the water and a short walk to the marina, but still accessible to Hopetown by golf cart for dining out. The house was very well equipped - all the amenities of home plus board games, books to read on the beach, and a nice pool and deck.I would recommend this property - there was a nice caretaker to help with any issues (but we never had any) and was there to meet the boat upon arrival and get acclimated.

I’ve always had a travelers heart but have yet to see very much of the world but I’ll never forget my trip to the Bahamas and the pleasure in staying here at your home. It was truly so inviting and a wonderful place to spend some (well needed) relaxation time. Thank you for putting so much heart into each and every room. The décor, and all the amenities a girl could ever ask for were lovely, and appreciated. It certainly is more than just a little piece of paradise… the memories here will most definitely make those snowy, wintery night ahead of me just a wee bit easier to bare.

What a fantastic week we had enjoying your paradise by the sea!! The house is awesome – beautifully decorated with vibrant Bahamian colors and every imaginable comfort. Much of our time was spent lounging around your beautiful pool and gazing at the magnificent views – starting everyday with a gorgeous sunrise!! We also loved walking to the Tiki bar at the Sea Spray and the gorgeous white sand beaches. Exploring Hopetown was such fun, shopping and eating at Captain Jack’s! And the days exploring the surrounding islands by boat were very special. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This was our 4th stay on Elbow Cay, and "Catch A Wave" has by far been the best house we have stayed in! It was perfect for our family. We loved coming back to the pool and the fabulous views after a great day of boating on the Sea of Abaco. Sad leaving Abaco on a day of bad weather, BUT the weather was gorgeous the rest of the trip! We loved coming back and visiting our favorite spots such as Nippers, Tiloo Bank, Fowl Cay, Bakers Bay, Pete's Pub, Sandy Cay, Cracker P's and of course Hopetown! Thank you so much for the great accommodations! We hope to visit again soon!

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and a very good old friend enjoyed a great week at Catch a Wave during early April. The centerpiece of the week was my son's wedding on Elbow Cay. We were very impressed with the spaciousness, amenities, and appointments of the house. It provided plenty of space when we wanted it, but also the opportunity for all of us and others to get together on the beautiful large deck and appreciate the view in near perfect weather. If we had been so inclined, the numerous flat screened TV's would have allowed us to all view our own favorites shows simultaneously, but we were always busy with other activities. The satellite phone was a great perk that enabled us to keep in touch with the States when necessary and the WiFi internet access was also much appreciated. I was able to follow the progress of my beloved Phillies. If we return to Elbow Cay, we will definitely stay at Catch a Wave again.

We couldn't have dreamed of a better vacation! Your house is beautiful- we loved all of the fun pictures/decorations on the walls. The pool was great for the kids, especially for practicing snorkeling (although the real thing, on the coral reefs was amazing!) We will definitely be back!

We found Catch A Wave to be the perfect rental house for two couples. It is beautifully decorated and in a wonderful location on the island. There was nothing we needed that wasn't supplied. The kitchen is very well appointed. Although we spent much time on the expansive deck overlooking the Atlantic, the unusually cool weather kept us out of the swimming pool! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

When I arrived at "Catch a Wave," I was overworked and I didn't know what to expect! My boss had ordered me on two weeks holiday and I thought the price for this place with it being on Elbow Cay, was pretty good... So my wife and two kids arrived with me and I was immediately taken by the colors all around the house, especially inside. I would think the interior designing is possibly done by an expert interior designer, it had a special feel. I found it all very soothing and there was so many of place to sit or lie down that finding a place to enjoy the property was easy. So began what I think was my most relaxing two weeks in my life that I can remember. Lots of sleep, fun in the pool, kids laughter, my wife and I…. Amazing beaches, great restaurants, super friendly people (I think the owners of this house are very nicely known on the Island! Everyone knew the house;) I could write for ever, but my advice is give the place a go (if it falls in your criteria;) I am soo glad I did and I am sure I will be back and most certainly, my wife and I agree, it would be “Catch a Wave” again.

What a fantastic week in our first visit to Hopetown. We will definitely be back. Weather was great, Great beaches, great snorkeling, and great boat rides. Some of our favorites- Mackey's Take Out BBQ ribs, Tahiti Beach sunset & swimming, exploring all the beaches and island hopping by boat. Loved the house and the views from the upper porch. Thanks so much for the great accommodations. Can't wait to plan another vacation and we'll tell all our friends how great it has been!

The house was exactly like the listing showed - pretty, clean, and comfortable. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and the caretakers were exceptional. I would highly recommend Catch A Wave to anyone looking for a great place to stay on Elbow Cay. The high hill provides a nice ocean view and the breeze was nice too. The kids walked to the beach and it was a short ride or walk to SeaSpray Marina. While we preferred this end of the island, it is a long (10 min) golf cart ride into town for those who visit there. We spent most of our time on the boat visiting other islands and had great meals at Pete's Pub in Little Harbor, Dock & Dine on Man O War, and Baker's Bay and Orchid Bay on Guana.

Elbow Cay and “Catch A Wave” were a perfect combination. Tiloo Bay is a favorite. The girls loved the pool… but the mommies thought it was too cold. We did have one unexpected quest- a rooster made a home right next door, and allowed us to wake in time to see the sunrise (every day). The golf cart was totally awesome… and we loved the Sugar Shack. We will definitely be back!

Nice escape from the cold Michigan weather! Beautiful home! Probably one of the nicest rental homes EVER! Comfortable beds, pillows, furniture, etc. Creative colors, very bright, they fit the Bahamian feel. The expansive decks are a great place to catch some sun. We will always continue coming back to the Bahamas, especially Hopetown!

Thank you for sharing a treasure with me! This house is unbelievable and the island is absolutely breathtaking. Seriously, there aren't words to describe. I've never seen pink coral before like at Garbonzo and never seen cerulean water like at Japans and Indicas. There are all these crazy little secret spots scattered across the island and each is more inspiring than the others. I'm hooked and hate having to leave! Thank you so much.

Thank you for such a lovely home to stay here at such a magnificent island. The golf cart was a joy and the scuba/snorkeling the most amazing. After a two day snow delay in getting here we're just settled in but woefully we have to leave tomorrow. The beaches, vegetation, storm, sun, wind, calm, sunsets and rises- to die for. We've had such a wonderful time and only wish could last longer.

We enjoyed playing Surfer Monopoly. We played after dinner almost every night. Tahiti Beach was so pretty. My brother found a conch shell. I loved the golf cart. I am glad we did not use a car! Thank you so much for an incredible time staying in your beautiful home!- comfortable and beautifully appointed. Elbow Cay is our new favorite spot. We ate breakfast every morning at the Harbour Lodge- yum! We tried all the dinner places except Captain Jack’s and they were all great- our favorite being the Harbour Lodge & Abaco Inn. Our kids loved getting Ice Cream at the Sugar Shack! We ate lunch often at “On Da Beach” since that was our favorite beach. We will be back!

I was a guest at Catch A Wave in April. This house is incredible. For its size it feels so spacious and the extras in the house are a plus. Everything is so well decorated and coordinated and NEW. The outside space is amazing with it views of both the Atlantic and White Sound, several different and private deck areas and the hammock and pool are a must. The location is great being just steps from the surf beach, a quick two minute walk to Sea Spray and a nice walk to Tahiti. I will be back!!!!

A beautiful home, New, that lends itself to relaxation, views and exploring. Located in a beautiful area of Elbow Cay, Catch a Wave was selected by me because of its location to the surf and beach. The pristine beaches and vistas. And its, up to date, technology included, wireless internet and Sat. TV. Adjacent to a popular marina the Sea Spray, and the Abaco Inn(Our Favorite). Not far from Hope Town but far enough so you feel out of town. I absolutly loved the island, the people and the accomodations of Catch a Wave.
