Ft. Walton Beach is just two miles away and Destin is just eight miles away. Within this area is a convention center, a fishing pier, a historical site, the area airport, a aviation museum, a Gulfarium with shows, a shopping mall and many fine restaurants. Tennis clubs are also in the area. Parasailing and windsurfing plus other water sports are available, some at the condo building. An area shuttle also runs around the island to various shopping areas.
