This is a fabulous cabin for a Mojave Desert Experience. Surrounded by surreal rock formations and spectacular views across the Mojave. Close to Joshua Tree National Park, Big Bear Lake Ski Resorts, Palm Springs cultural activities.
This is a renovated homestead cabin set amongst rock formations and looking across Johnson Valley. Surrounded by wild flowers in the spring months of March and April a great time to take in the beauty of the Mojave Desert. Cabin is furnished with authentic mid-century modern furniture.
A Fire Pit is set on the hill above the unit great for bonfires and barbecues. Compact cabin kitchen with under counter refrigerator, two unit cook top, broiler and microwave, coffee maker. Fully furnished with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, towels and linens. Queen size sleep sofa and two studio couches.
Full bath with shower as well as an outdoor shower. This cabin is remote and ideal for clothing optional aficionados (I do it all the time!)
Visit Joshua Tree National Park within a half hour. Less than an hour to Big Bear Lake (good skiing right now) and Palm Springs.

Great little desert getaway!

I love the Mojave, spent several weeks there last year, so I was really excited to find a place like this where I could get away and be in the desert again for a "long weekend". I really enjoyed my stay here. The cabin is in a pretty remote setting at the top of a hill, with a beautiful view of the sunset, very quiet and perfect for sleeping out under the stars out on the deck. Everything was reasonably clean and in good working order, with all the kitchen necessities including a small coffee-maker. The outdoor shower was great for cooling off in the heat of the afternoon or after a hot trek over the sand. It's a long drive to anything from there, so it's best to get food on the way in so you can just enjoy being in the desert without having to run around around a lot. Only downer was, the first night there, someone staying or living nearby decided to shoot a gun off at random intervals until 5 a.m. I wasn't thrilled about that, but the rest of my stay was VERY quiet, comfy, private, and exactly what I needed. Additionally, the owner kept in good close contact & communication before the trip with regard to payment, arrangements, procedures, etc. as well as recommending a couple local activities that weekend he had knowledge of, which I really appreciated. My deposit was also returned very promptly. I would definitely recommend this place and definitely go back again!
