This is the place to stay if you want to wake up to an amazing orange and pink sunrise over Canyon Lake. What a site! Sit on the back porch or deck and enjoy coffee or wine as you enjoy the beautiful view of the lake, which is only about 1/2 mile away via bird's eye view. And, you won't have to look hard to enjoy graceful grazing deer because they usually wander up to our back fence or in our front yard!
This house was originally a camp built in the 1960's. Each of the 3 bedrooms has a queen bed and there are two full baths. We have renovated the bathrooms and given the inside a classic Hill Country feel. There is an expansive rock fireplace for cozy romantic evenings or for roasting marshmallows! Over-sized leather furniture and a 42' flat screen TV make the place even better!
Outside we have lots of trees, rocks, and dirt. So you city folk will like the change of venue! We have a large back porch with a double hammock for those who choose to avoid the dirt or want to relax after a long day of enjoying the lake.
We are about 1 mile from Comal Park, which is a wonderful lakeside development where you can take a picnic and enjoy a family outing. There is a public boat ramp about 1 mile away. Also, we are about 12 minutes from "the horseshoe" where you can drop your tube in the Guadalupe River and float for about 1 1/2 hours, walk about 0.1 mile back to where you started and get in and do it all over again at no charge! Afterwards, stop in at Daisy Duke's and get some BBQ (and beer if you like!). There are frequent evening concerts at the famous Whitewater Campground (we enjoyed Randy Rogers Band last summer).
There is a grocery store, pizza parlor, local Startz cafe, Dairy Queen, Subway, McDonald's, and liquor store about 5 minutes away. And if you find yourself missing the city life, drive about 20 minutes to historic New Braunfels for elegant dinning at Libery Bistro (our favorite) or many others.
So, you can do nothing at all...or never have a dull moment. Totally up to you! You'll find our house clean and cozy and providing all the basic amenities.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
$250/night. 3 night minimum. Stay 6 nights, get 7th night free. Email for monthly.
$300/night for holiday weekends (Memorial, July 4th, Labor Day)
$500 security/damage deposit to reserve home. Local (4%) and state (6%) tax added.
Deposit refunded within 10 days of departure if no damage.
Full payment due 21 days prior to arrival.
$100 canellation fee if within 14 days. One night rental if within 48 hours.
$125 cleaning fee per stay. No parties. No smoking. No pets.
Children allowed with STRONG adult supervision.
