Experience the incredible beauty of the north shore at the Garden Cottage in Haena, Kauai, located in the heart of the most beautiful 10 miles of the island. We are close to Tunnels Beach, and set between 2 of the top 5 rated beaches on the islands. Kepuhi beach is 50 yards down the driveway; directly behind is lush jungle hillside, the border to 1000's of acres of private nature conservancy land. All tucked into a quiet, secluded, tree lined cul-de-sac.
The private, cozy cottage interior features a high open-beam ceiling, wood floors, and tropical décor, along with cooking facilities. Outside is a private shower with a spectacular view of the jungle, private deck, barbecue, tiki torches to enjoy the evening, and all the style of old Hawaii.
If you are seeking a Honeymoon hideaway or romantic getaway...Relax to the soothing sound of rolling surf, enjoy a bonfire on your private beach, and just minutes away is Hanalei with restaurants, dancing and entertainment. You can walk the beach the entire final 2 miles to Ke’e, where the road ends and the famous Napali coast begins. Or you can walk the beach just 300 yards to the Hanalei Colony Resort, for the only (award winning) restaurant and coffee house on this part of the island. Or just take our beach chairs and walk the few steps to the beach out front!

Thanks so much for the lovely stay at the Garden Cottage. Such a great location (can't beat a beach across the street!) and so peaceful. Especially loved the hot shower and how wonderfully CLEAN everything was when we arrived! Really appreciated. Oh - the bed was SO COMFY!!! Things to do at The Garden Cottage when it rains... 1) count mosquito bites 2) see who can kill the most mosquitoes 3) go to the field next door and say "Hi" to Seabiscuit (he likes carrots, apples and oats... and pets on the cheek). Things to do when the weather clears... 1) go to Limahuli Gardens - very nice and scenic 2) roam the beaches (you can also do this in the rain, which we did even if it wasn't planned) 3) stroll along Hanalei Bay and swim (no snorkeling but pretty calm - Anini is also super calm) 4) visit Kilahuea Lighthouse and see boobies (the BIRDS, get your head out of the gutter!) The Garden Cottage is very nice and cozy, and so clean (much appreciated). Only recommendation would be to have a folding drying rack for damp clothes/towels and maybe some insect repellent and/or anti-itch lotion (although calamine is very cheap at the Big Save in Hanalei). Thank you for a nice stay. P.S. There is a big lobster that lives under a rock about 50 yards out and just to the right of the sandy area strait across from the driveway. Thank you so much for the cottage. It was set up with everything we needed - chairs, coolers, boards, beach towels, etc. This was far and away the best vacation we have ever had. Great location to explore Kauai. Clean, well kept, cozy, but comfortable with a perfect lanai to sit out on, listen to the waves, and enjoy the beautiful tropical jungle surroundings with the ocean just across the road. Just a short scenic drive to Hanalei for food and shops. Trails, beaches, waterfalls in every direction. Thank you for your friendly hospitality!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
