Elegantly appointed throughout with striking Native American artwork, the spacious living room/dining area features a striking red Vermont wood burning stove and soaring 20 ft cathedral ceiling flooded with natural light from tall windows. Relax with a great "surround sound" system as well as two Cable TVs, DVD Cable "hotspot" for high-speed wireless and wired computer free high speed internet access, free nation-wide long distance calling.
The elegant dining area invites sumptuous meals inspired by a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. The deck is lovely for breakfast amid the silence of towering pine and fir. An ample loft with a queen size hide-a-bed sofa, extra TV/DVD, desk, children and adult games & game table and books overlooks the living room.
Every tastefully decorated bedroom has a new queen bed with high end bedding, down comforters and plenty of extra blankets. This house is ideal for three couples or one or two families: with crib, twin bed, and queen bed in upstairs bedroom, washer and dryer...and much more. There is little to no traffic, a two-car garage, as well as parking for four cars on the driveway, which is kept plowed in winter. Please feel free to call anytime for details.
A great sledding hill on the property on an extra large lot surrounded by a 'green belt'. A tether is attached between two trees to allow your leashed pet to enjoy the outdoors. Golfing is just five minutes away. Just ten minutes from a great beginner & intermediate ski hill, ten minutes to Donner Lake , and twenty minutes to Lake Tahoe . Also nearby you can enjoy white water rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, excellent hiking, world-class mountain biking or gain easy access to north shore world-class ski resorts: Squaw Valley , Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Homewood , Boreal, and Sugar Bowl. Casa Sierra is ten minutes from great shops and restaurants in the booming Gold Rush era mountain town of Truckee or quick easy access to the freeway for South Shore , North Shore and Reno casinos.
Our Guests benefit from guests rates for full access to the Tahoe Donner Homeowner facilities, including three pools & spas, workout facilities, two clubhouses, tennis and golf plus a great equestrian center for horseback riding, hay rides and western campfire BBQs. Also a private beach club, snack bar and picnic facilities on Donner Lake including rental of boats, canoes, waverunners, stand up paddleboards, wind surfers, and pedal boats.
Casa Sierra's spacious kitchen is fully equipped including a toaster, microwave and gas ovens, gas stove top, warmng drawer, dishwasher, disposal, coffee makers including french press, tea pot, mixer and, blender along with the usual pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glasses, etc.

It's about a half hour closer to the SF Bay Area and Sacramento than anyplace else in the Lake Tahoe Basin yet has easy and quick access to everything fun about the Lake Tahoe Basin

This property is truly wonderful for a family with children. We were happpy to see snow and the kids had a great time sledding on the hill right on the property. The home was clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and the toys, highchair, games, and crib were a plus. It is close to nice restaurants and shopping, too. We would recommend this home to friends and family for a lovely Tahoe vacation.

We had a wonderful time with my brother's family and ours. The kids had a ball out in the huge yard, building forts and playing hide-and-seek. We enjoyed eating most meals on the deck and BBQ'ing every night. We'll be back!

Excellent place to stay. Casa Sierra is comfortable, nicely decorated, well stocked, kid and dog friendly, and is in a great location in Tahoe Donner. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others.

I stayed here while on a golf outing. It is a great place. It is close to Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area is very scenic. Very comfortable and convenient to a number of golf courses. It is a well maintained, clean place and the owners are helpful and friendly. There are a number of restaurants in the area. I found it to be a good value.

We have stayed at Casa Sierra several times and thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The house is comfortable, clean, and attractive -- the listing photos tell the story. It was great to come back to it after our various excursions, sometimes with bags of groceries for meals we made in the well-equipped kitchen. There's never a lack of things to do, no matter what your interests are. Our activities included long walks around the Tahoe Donner neighborhood, exploring nearby Truckee and Tahoe City, taking the tram up the mountain in Squaw Valley.

We had a great time at Casa Sierra. Morning coffee on the deck, fun toys and games included, enough seating for everyone, great sounds system (blue ray, iPod dock, MP3 disk player). The house looks just like the photos, Amy was an excellent host- the directions were great, the house was well stocked, the beds were comfy and the house was nicely decorated. We were close to Truckee, Donner Lake and Tahoe City.
