Perched high on 5 acres of mature fir, arbutus & cedar forest, this roomy, four bedroom home has spectacular ocean, mountain & sunset views over Trincomali Channel, Vancouver & Saltspring Islands.
While eating your breakfast out on the 500 square foot deck you will likely see Ravens or Pileated Woodpeckers that nest nearby, or you may see several of the resident Bald Eagles soaring above. Picture yourself reading in the afternoon sun out on the deck while the kids amuse themselves on the trampoline or play croquet on the lawn. Enjoy a delicious barbecue after a vigorous hike on the many trails located just a few minutes from your island retreat. In the evenings, watch the spectacular sunset as you gather the family to sing around the antique upright piano. Or enjoy perennial cottage favorites, such as Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly or Balderdash.
Renovations, completed at the end of September 2006, include an enlarged master bedroom and ensuite bathroom, with new Berber carpet & wood flooring. Watch boats cruise through the channel through the large picture window at the foot of your bed! We have also created a gourmet kitchen with custom birch cabinets and new appliances, including a cappuccino & ice makers. Custom windows and 3 skylights allow in lots of natural light. Original artwork beautifies the walls. New tile & wood floors have been installed throughout the open plan living, kitchen & dining area. New washer, dryer & vinyl flooring have been installed in the spacious laundry facility. The yard & garden has been fully landscaped, with fresh salad greens & herbs available to enhance your dining pleasure.

Why the Owner Chose Galiano Island
We have been living on Galiano Island since 1982 & in this home since 1986. We love our location especially for the gorgeous ocean view, but also for the mature firs & cedars surrounding our home. This home has provided a safe place to raise our children close to nature.
The Unique Benefits at this House
One of our favourite parts about living here is enjoying early morning coffee in our bed while watching boats sailing past in Trincomali Channel. At the other end of the day, we enjoy watching the sun set over the Channel from the deck.
1 & 2 week new media workshops for youth & adults
Cute beach at the end of Ganner Drive. Walk down & around the corner, & watch for the sign on your left.
Managed by the Galiano Conservancy, these beaches are excellent for swimming. Access by travelling to the end of McCrosky, then following the signs.
Excellent place to launch kayaks or canoes. Government Wharf for boat access.
One of the only major bodies of fresh water on the island. Access via Vineyard Way off Porlier Pass Drive.
Beautiful shell beach utilized by First Nations' Peoples for millenia. Popular gathering place for family sunset picnics.
