Welcome to your perfect Maui Condo.
This is a large 3 bedroom, 2 bath upscale unit across from the beach. It sits on large tropical grounds and is very private and quiet.
Our condo was completely redecorated in Nov 2004 with Hawaiian style decor. KOA Resort has only 52 units on 7 acres of land directly across from the beach.
Parking is easy and shopping and world class restaurants are very close.
The condo faces south and is very quiet. A Large lanai is 20 feet by 8 feet to sit outside in the warm Maui weather. We have a full size tennis court and a putting green just outside the condo.
We have a large flat screen television down and another one in the bedrooms.

We stayed at the Koa Resort for 2 weeks and had the vacation of a lifetime. Of course Maui is the best, but coming home to quiet and comfort was very nice also. My kids (5 and 9) loved the double pool. My husband and I loved the outside BBQ's. The condo being large was great for us with the family. My husband and I would sit outside on the lanai for hours when the kids were in bed. I would highly recommend. Linda Robinson, UK

We are a family of 5 (Mom, Dad, Grandma, and two children ages 5 & 8). We stayed at this property from Dec 24, 2010 to Jan. 7, 2011. The GOOD: the KOA property itself is very well-maintained. It was clean, groomed, and for the most part, very quiet. The pool is fantastic (we LOVED the pool!!!!!), and the other public areas like the BBQs and ping pong tables were really nice as well. The resort is in a great location, just a couple of minutes drive from groceries, beaches, shops, restaurants, etc. It was also a short drive to the airport and the harbour. There was a farmer's market as well as a craft market within walking distance. The condo itself was nicely furnished, had all the basic necessities, and we all fit quite comfortably. Now for the BAD: The condo needs a really good cleaning. When we arrived, it was obvious that the cleaners had done a very basic surface clean. But they skipped a lot - like cleaning behind doors and under rugs, and wiping behind counter-top appliances (there were dust bunnies behind the spice rack). There was a layer of grime and dust on the window sills. In addition, there were some issues with lamps and shutters in dis-repair. And there were loads of tiny ants running around inside and out, though I'm told this is common. In spite of the above, however, we were VERY comfortable here and we did have a lovely time! Thanks to the owners for sharing your Maui home with us over Christmas! Oh, and the boogie boards another reviewer left behind were nowhere to be found, so we bought new ones and left those for others to enjoy. :)

Thank you for sharing your delightful condo in Kihei with us last week. My wife, three sons and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was great: fully appointed right down to the spices and aluminum foil, quiet, clean and in excellent condition. We loved the location in the center of our activities at the beach, on mountain hikes and bike rides down the volcano. We spent most of our meals cooking at “home” enjoying the communion of family meals cooked on the gas grill or in the kitchen. The pool was fabulous and we swam in it nightly (and some mornings too). With some of the Koa Resort units vacant, we practically had the pool to ourselves. All three college age sons were high school tennis team players, so we also took full advantage of the courts located right out the front door. All in all, we are filled with lasting memories of a fabulous vacation. As one note of reality, we appreciate a lifestyle of walking to the store, restaurant or to activities. While this resort has convenient access to walking on the beach, it's not a swimming beach, and we were somewhat removed from the commercial aspects of Kihei. Perhaps that was a blessing that made the site more tranquil, but one must be willing to jump in the car to go places for shoppinig, eating and swimming on the beach. However, there are scads of beautiful beaches to explore, with Polo Beach in Wailea, just fifteen minutes away, as one of our favorites because of its easy access, clean public restrooms and public showers overlooking the beach. I’d love to say we are coming back next year, but sadly, we must scrimp and save for a while to do it again. Maybe the kids can take us next time?!

We were so comfortable here! We are a two-adult, two-child family. We felt so at home. The unit was safe, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. The air conditioning was great, although we didn't really need it because the ocean breeze was so nice. We made banana-macadamia pancakes for breakfast and snacked on papaya and pineapple from the local fruit stand which was in walking distance. The pool is amazing --huge and perfect for young children as it is 2 feet deep for 1/4 of the pool then goes to 9 feet deep for adults. The kids slept well and we were all happy and cozy! We can't wait to come back again soon!

We rented this unit over Christmas 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were a group of 7 including 3 kids aged 9-17 and we had plenty of room. The unit was exactly as advertised, clean and well maintained. The kids especially loved the pool, although we all used it a fair bit. The grounds are amazing, and we loved waking up to the sounds of the birds outside the windows every morning. Excellent proximity to grocery stores and the Kihei shopping areas. Despite being there over the holidays and busy season, there seemed to be amazingly few people around the resort. The parking lot was generally full with lots of turnover, but we tended not to see lots of people even though I'm sure they were around. There were a couple downsides. The beaches within an easy walk are not generally swimming beaches, so you will need a car to go most places. Not a problem for us since our goal was to see the whole island anyway. There was also a minor issue with what we think are little teeny ghost ants that liked to entertain us with their travels across the walls in the kitchen and bathroom. We discovered that windex took care of them quite quickly. Oh, and the phone wasn't working very well. It is a VOIP phone (connected to the internet) but the battery wouldn't hold a charge. We had cell phones so it wasn't an issue. The owner was easy to deal with, although if you want to know something you need to ask. There wasn't much communication about things we didn't ask about. We've already recommended the place to others. And we left our boogie boards behind for others to use. Hope you enjoy them!
