We rented this grand home while we were in town for my oldest daughter's wedding. It was spaceous and so very comfortable. My husband, 2 other daughters, my brother & my niece all stayed in the home & we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. We were graciously allowed to open the home up for a large family dinner the evening of the wedding and had a send of brunch for the couple the day they left. Jerri was extremely helpful and we could afford it we would move right in. This is a place you don't want to miss out on! Our youngest has started attending Colorado School of Mines this year in Golden so I am sure we will return!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family stayed for a week in this wonderful house, surrounded by nature. It was our son's wedding week, and we wanted the whole family to be together. Jeri was so gracious, showing us around, and so helpful with what we needed to have a family get together the night before the wedding. Our grown children loved this place, as did we, and the wedding guests who stopped by. An alpaca named Missy, had a baby the day of our son's wedding. Our daughter in law got to hold it, and it was one of many memories we shall cherish from our week here. We hope to return to this house one day for a family retreat!!!Owner response: Hi Mary Jo; Thank you for the kind comments. You were a delight to have as guests. Thank you, Jeri

We had a great time at the Log Lodge! Ten people stayed with plenty of room - Elk and Mule deer everyday! This home has a little for everyone...loved the Poker table and had a great family game one night...watching grown-ups play the indian drums and dance around was certainly a memory we will cherish forever. Jeri, the owner, was a wonderful wealth of knowledge and brought my 10 year old niece to visit the Alpaca ranch where she was able to hold a newborn. Recommend golfing at Fossil Trace if you have time! Thanks again Jeri-- hope we can visit again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We had a week long family get-together with 8 people. The home is large with great accomodations. It is very well stocked with all the necessities, and Jeri was very helpful and patient to answer all of our questions. The location is perfect. Estes Park and Colorado Springs are easy day drives with Golden, Denver, Evergreen and Genesee just minutes away. As a bonus, there was wildlife in the yard everyday!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

My family rented this gorgeous mountain home for our reunion. It easily slept all 11 of us with room for more. Family from New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Kansas could not get over the beautiful setting. Right on cue every morning the deer walked through the property as the sun was rising over the mountains. All the comforts anyone would ever want are provided and the home is spotless. All appointments, furniture, bedding and bathroom accessories are of top quality. Even those of us living here in Colorado appreciated staying here. When it was time to leave, everyone voted for coming back to this exact spot for the next reunion. Thanks Jere, for offering such an inviting home. Also the location couldn't be more convenient to visit Buffalo Bill's Grave at the top of Lookout Mountain which winds down to Golden on the other side. Golden is a quaint town and the home of the Coors Brewery. Going east or west from the home's location takes you straight to the ski areas on West I-70 and East I-70 takes you straight to downtown and the easiest route possible to the airport. Jere is a great quide and can answer any questions or concerns you might have.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS WONDERFUL HOME!! We rented the beautiful Log Lodge for the weekend of my son's wedding which was held at The Pines at Genesee. OMG! The home was unbelievable beautiful with every amenity imaginable. We had the Rehearsal Dinner there on Friday night and everyone raved about the home and the peaceful setting. It was minutes from The Pines which made it so convenient for everyone. The home is beautifully decorated in true log cabin ambience, clean, quiet and very, very comfortable! The beds were wonderful and the master suite must be seen to appreciate! The owner was also wonderful to deal with and accommodating in every manner possible! Great to meet her! We definitely intend to stay here again and I can't wait until that day! Thank you, Jeri, for everything! Last minute family gathering...we were fortunate to secure this home. Beautifully decorated and loaded with everything you might need to entertain. Several lazy afternoon spent in the zero gravity chairs on the deck observing nature. Close to all major activities (25 minutes to Central City/gold mine tours, hiking, and Denver!). Quick access to Interstate with peaceful surroundings. The grandkids enjoyed the yard and activities. Master bedroom is exceptional! Comfortable beds!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family had the very good fortune to find an exceptional home in which to gather and spend a perfect Christmas together! Without question, this splendid log lodge was our ideal Christmas home with it's spacious and grand rooms giving us the warmth of the holiday season. The location in Genesse is ideal with Denver and all it's offerings nearby, and the ski resorts just an hour away. The site the home rests on is beautiful with a grand driveway leading you up to the beautiful Log Lodge and giving you very enjoyable privacy while fully enjoying all that nature has to offer. The lodge offers one of the largest master bedroom suites I have ever seen, while giving you a very comfortable family room, a game lounge, excellent kitchen with granite, extra large formal dining room, spacious living room with panoramic views of the grounds and mountains. The fireplace offers the special warmth that make the atmosphere perfect. Our 30 day visit is one that we will remember forever. We hope that you find your special experience as we did.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.
