The master bedroom includes a king size bed with private full bath and beautiful lake views. Bedrooms 2 & 3 include queen beds and bedroom 4 offers 4 twin beds (2 sets of bunks!). The attached screened in patio leads out onto a beautiful spacious deck perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. Parking in front is easy for 5+ cars and the garage includes a second refrigerator. The first floor offers ramps to patio and back yard and modified full bath making it entirely handicapped accessible.
Surroundings: Located just 2 hours from downtown Chicago, St. Joseph offers shopping, local art fairs, festivals, wineries, weekend farmers markets and fine dining just a short drive up the road. Golf enthusiasts will be thrilled by the close proximity to the newly opened Jack Nicklaus designed Harbor Shores Resort and Golf Club. The first tee box is less than a mile away from your front door. For you boaters, a full service marina is located at the end of the street not a half-mile away! Bring your boats and jet skis anchor them off of your private beach and have fun! Our only rule while you stay with us is that you place your beach chair “in the water”!!

The pictures do not do this home justice. It is so much more. A great place to have a family reunion or get together with friends. We were in St. Joseph for my daughters wedding and had the rehersal dinner at the house with about 40-45 people. EVERYONE said it was a perfect setting. Very spacious and a great place for entertaining. The home is so comfortable with everything you need except food and clothes. Extremely clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer! The beach is just beautiful! I would give this a 5 star rating! Hope we can make it make in 2013....Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

Charming older 2-story home in a fantastic brick-lined street location & neighborhood that backs up to the beach. Much larger home than in pictures. Great deck & screened-in porch. Private beach was peaceful. Sunsets from beach were simply amazing! There wasn't anything that we needed that the kitchen didn't have. Owner and manager are incredibly accomodating and friendly. Our family had a great time!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This house and this beach are so much more than what we expected...charming interior, AMAZING beach, we've visited many beaches together and this is now by far our favorite fresh water beach...the waves and sand make you feel like you are in the tropics and it's all yours, very, very private. The best part about the property is that there are no stairs or cliffs to worry about. Getting to the beach was an easy walk. Our group had every age, easiest, very accomodating stay, kids had a blast (smores by the beach fire are a must) and the handicap accessible bathroom worked for my dad. It truly is a perfect family getaway. Hope we make it back!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Completely as advertised and then some. Wonderful truly private Lake Michigan beach, soft sand and no rocks. Lovely, well-appointed home with every amenity. This could be our family's annual vacation place if it stays available. Completely handicap accessible, new beds, fully equiped kitchen, beach toys & floats, incredible deck facing the lake for awesome sunset viewing. We have no complaints, only high praise. Actually, we'd rather keep this place a secret but that wouldn't be fair. About the owner: This home has been in our family for over 60+ years. Generations of our family have literally grown up here. It's a unique property in a wonderful community that has it all. It has been our little "slice of heaven" for many years and only recently have we decided to share it with others. Our Beachhouse will grab you with its warm family feel, the "too good to be true" private beach and sunsets that rival any place on Earth - period!

Best location in Southwest Michigan. Beach, water, golf and easy access to and from Chicago.
