Wonderful place to stay for a quiet get away or for friends and family to congregate. Lance took great care of us, checking in to make sure everything was to our liking and that we were settled in ok. The house is in a great spot for easy access to downtown, the lake and the mountain. Loved staying there and will be using the cabin again!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

My family and I just finished staying at this wonderful cabin in McCall. Everything was clean, neat and the place was beautiful. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to get away and enjoy the beautiful outdoors of McCall. The owner was very good about answering all of my questions and he literally was available if I had any questions or concerns and answered them right away. McCall has wonderful places to eat and tons of things to do. Skiing and snowmobiling are just a few in the winter and jet skiing, sailing, swimming, rafting, and fishing are just some of the things to do in the Summer. Wonderful restaurants like The Pancake House, The Blue Moose and My Father's Place are just some of the good places to eat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Spent five days in this awesome house located in a quiet spot in McCall. The place was well stocked with everything we needed to cook in or eat out. Plenty of space to hang out in the living room, which is where we spent most of the evening after we finished our long soak in the hot tub. I wish I could tell you how great the loft with entertainment system was but we never turned on the large flat screen or video console. After a long day of skiing, we were so happy to have a nice place to relax and hang out. The owner has an excellent place and was so easy to work with. I am already planning my trip next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: These amazing guests and their friends from Florida were very easy to deal with themselves and it looks like they indeed did enjoy themselves for their winter getaway. This is easy to do around here with so much to see and do. I sure do hope they come back soon.

The cabin is in a great location - close to downtown, the lake and everything McCall has to offer! The cabin was immaculate when we arrived and was very inviting, welcoming and homey. We felt right at home! Working with Lance was very easy and a pleasure - he made sure that we knew all the details for our upcoming stay. We will definitely stay at this cabin for all upcoming McCall getaways!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Lance has a great place. We enjoyed the close proximity to the lake, town and river. The large garage was great for storing our bikes and golf clubs and the house felt very warm and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed and the hot tub tucked down in the trees is awesome! The only downside is the traffic on the road, but at the end of the day we had a blast and would stay there again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We spent four fantastic days in this cabin. The décor is very tasteful and appropriate for a cabin in the woods, and it makes you feel very much at home. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking and entertainment, including books, games, movies, video games, and a large flat screen television. All of the beds were very comfortable, and the rooms had extra linens. We also had plenty of towels. The hot tub is a great amenity and is located in the midst of trees with a great view of the stars in the evening. Although we took some nice walks around the cabin, we were so comfortable that we did not even go to town (which is close) for the first two days! There is a large two car garage and plenty of room to park additional cars or toys outside. Lance, the owner, was incredibly hospitable and easy to work with. Thanks for sharing your home, Lance!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

It has been some time since we visited the cabin, and I have been saying I'll leave a comment soon. So, finally I am leaving my comment. Staying at Lance's cabin was one of the best memories I have made in McCall, my wife Jody and I stayed once for a getaway, and our family joined us another time and we loved everything about our visit. Everyone should take advantage of this cabin. Thank you Lance.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: I grew up in Granville, OH but now live most of the year in am Sausalito, CA where I own a Sailing Yacht Charter business. I spend most of the year dodging hurricanes and whales now instead of artificial lighting, board members and VC's. I was the inventor behind Shutterfly, a photo sharing/printing site and retired in 2008 to follow my dream of sailing for a living.
Why the Owner Chose McCall:
I fell in love with McCall because it has the largest variety of lakes, rivers and mountains to explore and all manner of outdoor activities all year round and is not too overly provincial or full of gun toting conservative homophobes like some areas of this red State. I especially enjoy the Winter Carnival with all the snow sculptures and the 4th of July is spectacular here with Fireworks on the Lake. Its Sun Valley meets Lake Tahoe without all the crowds, leaf blowers and high expense. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Just don't speed anywhere, this town has more police per square mile than Oakland without the crime rate.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
This cabin's big advantage is that you are close to EVERYTHING, yet still feel like you are in a secluded wooded getaway. Brundage, downtown McCall restaurants and bars, Pauls Market, snowmobile and hiking trails on Warren Wagon Rd are all within 5 minutes drive. You are 5 mins walk or bike ride to the lakeside beach and Shoreline Lodge. Within the Cabin itself you have the entertainment center in the loft to enjoy a movie on the big screen. Oh and don't forget the huge Jacuzzi hidden in the trees behind the Chalet...
