What a well thought out little apartment. It really isn't little at all since it was so well-thought out. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need -but you are so well-situated in town you'll want to go out to eat too! It's a short hop to downtown or the Pearl District area. Also a very short drive to zoo and OMSI. We stayed with our 5 year old and the space worked well. I am not usually a fan of A/C but it is really the only reason I didn't give it a 5-which isn't quite fair since rarely does Portland have a heat wave but we happened to arrive during the beginning of one and being coastal residents, it was nearly twice the temperature we are used to. Because of the safety feature of the windows, the fan just didn't help much.

Had a wonderful four month stay here, while I was in Portland for work. The apartment is really well laid out and designed. The owner (Ellen) clearly put a lot of time and effort into making it comfortable, and she was great to work with. Lastly, the location is excellent! Within walking distance to all the best attractions in NW Portland, and with public transportation (streetcar) at the front door.

I was lucky to spend 5 great weeks in Portland while I was performing in a touring musical playing downtown. This condo exceeded my expectations. First the owner, Ellen, was fantastic about communication. Never having been in Portland before I didn't know what to expect from the neighborhood. This condo is in a perfect location. On the edge of both the Pearl District and Nob Hill, all of your shopping and dining needs are within easy walking distance. If you need to get downtown and decide not to walk, the trolley stop is right in front of the building. The condo itself, is lovely, quiet and well appointed. If you want to cook, she has everything at your ready. Thank you Ellen for a great stay in Portland.

This studio is simply lovely. I stayed there for a month and my husband accompanied me for a week. It's clean and well maintained and it has everything we could possibly imagine and even more than we needed. The kitchen and the bathroom are very well equipped. In the bathroom we found shampoo, conditioner, soap, body lotion, tooth brush, toothpaste, bathrobes and many towels. There was not only coffee and tea in the kitchen to use, but also sugar, flour, oil and spices - it was great not to have to worry about buying these items. If you are one of those weird people (like me) who still doesn't own a cell phone, there is a pay phone just across the street. I also used Skype on my laptop to make phone calls from inside. The owner provided excellent customer service - I could always contact her if there was anything I needed. The area is lovely and safe and it's a 20-minutes walk or 10-minutes streetcar ride from downtown (the streetcar stops right in front of the building). There are large grocery stores within 5 and 10 minutes walking distance (Safeway to the east and Trader Joe's to the SW respectively), and many smaller ones around (convenience stores, gas station, City Market, etc.). There is a car rental within 10 minutes walking distance to the south. There are many hiking opportunities around the area, some of them also within walking distance. Washington Park (which also includes the Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden) is within a 20-minutes walking distance but can also be reached by public transit. By the way, public transit is excellent in Portland. We very much enjoyed our stay at this place - it makes being away from home easy!

My husband and I stayed in this condo over the Thanksgiving holiday (2008). We very much enjoyed our stay. It is beautifully furnished with new stainless steel appliances and a flat screen t.v. The kitchen is equipped with the best utensils and pots and pans. We were able to cook many great meals especially since Food Front Co-op is within walking distance and we were able to get great local organic fruits and veggies. The location of this condo is fabulous. The street cars and buses come right out the door. They are very reliable and on schedule. The owner also stocked it with wonderful soaps and organic shampoo and conditioner. We would definitely stay here again.

Taken by permission from an email: We wanted to thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Portland! The apartment was beautiful, in a great location, the pack-n-play was perfect, the closet made a great playroom/bedroom, and the kids loved the animal tubby-scrubbies (as we named them). You thought of just about everything in equipping an apartment for vacationers, and everything was very comfortable. This was our first big trip with two kids, and I was a little apprehensive about how it would all work, but staying at your place made it easy. And Portland is a fabulous city - we all loved it! Thanks again for helping to make our stay in Portland so smooth and comfortable. We hope to get back someday (there's so much we haven't done yet)! ~ rebecca
