We spent four weeks at Ben's Beach Villa during Feb/Mar 2012. This was our first trip to the Low Country of South Carolina, and we anticipate returning next year. The Villa was in a great location on Fripp, ready access to the beach as well as trails across the marsh and extremely pet friendly in terms of interesting and varied walks. Fripp is the last stop on the road from Beaufort, but it's an easy and pleasant ride back and we made that trip many times. We spent a lot of time exploring the sister islands; Hunting, St. Helena's, Lady's, Parris, and Beaufort itself. The local culture, first rate restaurants, galleries, fresh sea food, etc., kept us involved, well-fed, and informed. Ben was helpful when we needed something, and definitely not intrusive. The Villa was clean, comfortable, and has a great view from the lanai. In short, we loved every moment of our stay.

The condo is an excellent getaway for anyone. We have a 3 year old boy, and the place is so child friendly. It is very convenient to everything and Ben is very nice and will accomodate you with anything you need. The condo is very clean and comfortable. We loved watching the birds fly around on the balcony. I would recommend this condo anytime.

WE ARE SR'S AND THIS WAS OUR FIRST YEAR BEING "SNOW BIRDS". BEN'S VILLA WAS A NICE WARM "WINTER NEST" FOR US. WE TOTALLY RECOMEND IT. BEN & TWANA ARE SO SWEET, HELPFUL AND SO GENEROUS. IT WAS REASONABLE PRICED, VERY CLEAN AND THE FURNITURE WAS SO VERY COMFY. I REALLY MISS THE BED. IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO COME TO REST AND KICKBACK AND ENJOY THE MARSH VIEW AFTER RIDING THE GOLF CART OR BIKES, BEING A BEACH BUM OR WATCHING THE SUN RISE & SUN SET, JUST ENJOYING THE BEAUTY AND FUN AND WILDLIFEOF BEAUTIFUL FRIPP ISLAND. We had a "girls getaway" weekend and had a such a great time at Fripp! Ben, the owner, was so helpful in arranging a golf cart and ammenity cards for us to use. The Villa was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed. The Villa location is perfect; right in the middle of the island and close to so many things to do.

My family had a wonderful week on Fripp Island in Ben’s condo. The condo is centrally located on the island, was the perfect size for us and really had everything that we needed. It was great to have a golf cart to zip around the island all week. I wouldn’t stay on the island again without one. We enjoyed the porch with the view of the tidal creek and marsh. My 6 year old son, along with all of the other kids staying in the villas, had a blast catching the little crabs that were running all over the grass and rocks behind the villas. There was so much to do on the island. We enjoyed swimming in the ocean and several of the pools (The Cabana Club Pool is wonderful for young children). We just loved the Nature Excursion Cruise that we booked through the activities center. Morning walks on the trails, bike rides on the beach, watching all the wildlife (deer, birds, dolphins, alligators, crabs…), good food (I’m craving the she crab soup from the Bonito Boathouse), and even excursions to Savannah and Beaufort….I’m ready to go back! Ben checked in with us at the beginning of our stay to make sure that everything was in order, was available to help us if needed, and returned our security deposit promptly. I’m looking forward to a return trip.

This was our first vacation at Fripp Island. We (me, wife and two dogs) had the best time. We really enjoyed the sunsets at the point on the golf cart and letting the dogs have a little freedom on the beach or a snooze on Ben's screened in patio while we were out. The condo was clean, very accurately depicted and really a great place to get away. We didn't start our car for 5 days due to the golf cart which we came to find out would have cost about $300.00 for the week but was included with Ben's condo. The cart made it easy to drive all over and see the deer everywhere. The kitchen was great with pots and pans, plates and silverware but we used mostly paper plates to keep the mess down. The bed was comfortable in the master, we didn't use the second bedroom. Beach chairs were provided and there were crab nets everywhere for use on the pier behind the condo on the waterway. I particularily enjoyed my daily cigar and beverage on the screened in patio overlooking the low country marshes. We've stayed at Harbor Island before and Lady Island in the past but I really enjoyed much more to do here than those locations. The security personnel on the island were friendly and helpful and did not intrude one bit. Ben's condo was great, has a man sized lazyboy and was just the right size for us and two good sized dogs with a bedroom to spare. Ben provided everything and more to include arranging for a friend to get a gate pass at the last minute for a quick visit. Thanks Ben, we'll be calling soon for round two.

The absolute best vacation we have ever had! We took our three children and our dog along with us. It was the first time we have ever traveled with our dog, he loved the beach and the deer. Fripp Island was so relaxing and peaceful, a true get away. Ben's condo had everything to make you feel comfortable and at home away from home. It was a blast driving around the island on the golf cart and we rode bikes to Skull Inlet every night to see the sunset - magical! All the pools were wonderful and had beautiful views of the marshes, islands and ocean. This could be a yearly tradition for our family.

My wife and I just spent 3 months at Bens Villa on Fripp Island, and we would highly recommend it for a short stay, or like us, to get away for the winter. The villa is very clean, very homey, and has everything you need. We felt like we were at home very quickly, which just doesn't happen in any hotel room. The location of the condo on Fripp Island is also excellent. It is right next to the tennis courts, and across the street from the club and the beach. We also enjoyed meeting Ben, who did everything he could to make our stay comfortable. There is also a lot to do in the area. We were 20 miles away from Beaufort, which is a sleepy beautiful, and interesting southern city. Just 3 miles away was a beautiful state park with walking trails, a nature center, and a beautiful beach.

We just returned from the July 4th week at Fripp Island and had a great and happy stay at the Hay's condo. It was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the marsh. It is walking distance to the pools, beach, tennis and ice cream. Ben was very responsive to our needs including giving us great guidance when we needed a quick trip to a doctor. The golf cart was a fun event every night when we toured the island with our kids. The deer and alligators were always fun to see. Fripp is a safe and happy place. If you come on the 4th, don't miss the golf cart parade - it was a hoot. I highly recommend this condo because of its cleanliness, location and comfort level with the owner. I recommend Fripp, and Beaufort which is a lovely town with art galleries, shopping, restaurants and lots of history - don't miss the great cemetary!

I ardently & enthusiastically recommend Ben’s condominium when considering a Fripp Island or any beach vacation. This unit was conscientiously maintained & immaculately clean. Everything we needed for a memorable vacation was provided… & a superior value compared with other 2br units with a great nightly rate, golf cart usage, bikes, the best prices available on amenity cards etc. Ben went well out of his way to find & return a lost wallet for us as well. We had the pleasure of meeting Ben & his wife & found them affable, honest, generous & very helpful in orienting us to the island & recommending on & off the island recreation & dining options (e.g. we saw both dolphins & alligators, explored Hunting Island, enjoyed happy hour at Fripp & lunch at Jacob’s Creek etc). For those who are not familiar w the Beach Club Villas, they are centrally located with food, pools, tennis courts & the widest, best portion of the Fripp shore right across the street. My family (including in-laws) had an enormously gratifying vacation here in June & will be back next year if not sooner. We consider Ben a friend now & are thankful for his careful & thoughtful contributions. Bob Landrum

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and the place was wonderful. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, and the beach was within walking distance. People on the island were very friendly, and if we couldn't find anything to do on the island (which wasn't very often), Beaufort and other nice places weren't very far away. We would love to go back.

We just returned from my Nephew's graduation from the Marine Corp and stayed at this condo. The condo was great and suited our needs perfectly. Getting to Paris Island was easy and only took about 30 minutes. We loved taking pictures of the deer. Will come back.
