The apartment is in the heart of San Francisco's Haight Ashbury neighborhood and has been recently renovated this past year, with a brand new kitchen and bath. There is a large, sunny living room with two bay windows, large bedroom with bay window, computer with internet access, and bathroom with heated tile floor. Double pane windows keep the apartment nicely buffered from city street sounds.
Located in the highly desirable Haight Ashbury neighborhood. One short block from vibrant Haight Street, full of eclectic restaurants, trendy shops and bars. The Haight is a major tourist attraction, with historical walking tours, homes of musicians (Grateful Dead, Joplin, Hendrix) , and the intersection of Haight/Ashbury made famous during the Summer of Love. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants, including Thai, Chinese, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, French, a brewpub and wine bar all within walking distance. A large organic grocery store and Amoeba records, the premier independently owned music/video store in the country, are two blocks away.
We are one block from Golden Gate National Park, with museums, concerts, gardens, bike and jogging trails, tennis, a huge children's’ playground, and more. Then new California Academy of Sciences, "the only place on the planet with an aquarium, a planetarium, a natural history museum, and a 4-story rainforest all under one roof" is within walking distance.
Walking distance to UCSF Medical Center, University of San Francisco, and St. Mary's Hospital. San Francisco's oldest library is next door.
Major bus lines and subway are blocks away.
