Dreaming of Hawaii? Please consider staying at our lovely, vacation condominium in sunny, South Maui. This one bedroom, two bathroom, second floor condominium is right across the street from Kamaole II Beach, considered to be among the best of the beaches on Maui. Updated in 2008, including NEW FURNITURE, NEW KING-SIZE BED, NEW PAINT, two brand new ceiling fans, bedding, towels, microwave, kitchen utensils, all the beach goodies, and comfortable island decor. Washer/drier and a/c new in 2009!! Many of the prints hanging throughout were taken by us, and show the incredible beauty that surrounds us on Maui.
Our condo is located in Building H of Maui Banyan. The lanai faces South towards the upcountry mountains, and has a small Peek-a-Boo view of the ocean. The South-facing units overlook the courtyard, not the driveway and parking structure, making the location very quiet. The elevators make it very convenient to get in and out with your bags and groceries, as well as with all of your shopping finds!
This condo is family-owned and is our "home-away-from-home", so we have taken great efforts to make sure everything you need to enjoy your stay on Maui has been included. You will find everything you need from pots to pans, plates to silverware, sheets to towels, a washer and a dryer, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys, a cooler, etc. There will even be a starter supply of soap, laundry detergent, etc.
We have provided phone service that includes local calls, as well as Inter-island, mainland US, and Canada calls FREE OF CHARGE. All other International calls must be on your own calling card or credit card. We have also provided free cable TV, a selection of DVD's, and wireless internet access (so bring your laptop)! Maui Banyan has two pools, two hot tubs, tennis courts, lovely fountains, lush landscaping, beautiful tropical flowers abound, and BBQ grills located in the pool areas. There are even several gazebos with outdoor seating for eating your dinner out in the fresh, Hawaiian air.
Please note: NOT ONLY IS THIS UNIT STRICTLY A NON-SMOKING UNIT, HAWAII LAW RESTRICTS SMOKING IN PUBLIC AREAS. SO, THE LANAIS AND GROUNDS ARE ALSO NON-SMOKING. MAHALO FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!

Aloha! We are the Preitauer family, Steve, Marie, Tyler, and Dalton. While we wish we could claim to live on Maui year-round, we actually live in Colorado. The two condos we own on Maui are the culmination of ten years of dreaming, saving, searching, and finally... buying! They are our pride-and-joy, and we have done all we can to make them as comfortable and special to you as they are to us. Welcome to our home and to Maui!
Why the Owner Chose Maui Banyan
We love Hawaii and find all of it's islands have a unique personality and appeal. We chose to purchase on Maui because it is the island that aligns most closely with our personalities. It is an active island where the water is the primary draw. You can find excellent snorkeling, whale-watching, surfing, boogie boarding, etc. Maui Banyan is located in Kihei, close to countless incredible beaches. You can walk to many attractions, and we just love the way the property FEELS.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Maui Banyan is unique in many ways. It is a very quiet property with exceptionally maintained grounds. The management prides themselves on keeping the entire property in excellent condition. The pools are spotless and un-crowded. The hot tubs are a nice bonus on those cooler days. I especially love the covered sitting area next to the BBQ grills and pools. It is the perfect place to hang out when you need a break from the sun, but still want to be outside.

"We thoroughly enjoyed this condo for our stay in Maui. It was not only so convenient to the beach but a great location to do all sorts of sight seeing around the island. The condo had all the things you needed. We ate in most of our stay so it was convenient to have the big kitchen with space to move around in. Also, the grills at the poolside were awesome. There was always one available even during the busy weekend. The condo has a pool which is so convenient when you have kids. They were in the pool while we cooked and grilled. It was awesome to use after a day at the beach. It is open until 10 p.m. The condo also had a convenient safe in the room. Great so you don't have to carry all your cash with you to the beach. It is also air conditioned for those hot evenings. The washer and dryer directly in the condo was a plus for me. I was able to get most of my laundry done during the evenings so instead of packing dirty clothes we packed up clean ones and had very little laundry to do at home after a very relaxing vacation. I definitely recommend this condo. It is a very quiet place to stay and very convenient. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and will hopefully visit again in the future. For those with younger kids, there are beach toys in the condo (shovels and pails). The owner was extremely helpful as well and it is always nice to deal with people who care how your stay was and are willing to take feedback to help improve for future tenents. No improvement needed for this place. It was a great place to stay. Thanks or as they say in Hawaii "Mahalo".

Thanks for allowing us to stay in your condo for the past two weeks. It was a great home away from home, and our kids rated your place as the best accomodation of the four places we stayed in the month. That's perhaps the best compliment of all! You kindess from the start was terrific and welcomed. We really enjoyed our stay, and as we stated, our kids rated you #1! We would stay there again without question (if you'd have us, that is!) Frankly, we don't know how you make any money. Add up what they want for buying the condos, and the fees and taxes and upkeep... it is closer to a public service you offer!

Aloha Marie & family: Thank you SO much for the use of your condo during our stay in Maui. It was great!!! We took full advantage of all the beach supplies especially the boogie boards. One of the boards broke while we were using it and we purchased a new one and left it in the closet. The condo was perfect, our daughter enjoyed having her own bathroom, t.v. and queen-size bed while we appreciated the new king-size bed in the bedroom. It was a nice surprise to also find the safe to store our valuables and the booster seat for the car. The kitchen worked fine for our dining in meals and was nicely equipped for all our needs. A highlight of our visit was a whale watching tour with the Pacific Whale Foundation and the naturalists on board said our trip was among the top 3 tours so far this season. We look forward to more visits to Maui and hopefully more stays at your condo. We are already telling our friends about our trip and your condo. Thanks again for helping make our trip to Maui a memorable one especially for our daughter's first (but not last) trip.

Marie You condo was a great surprise. It was clean and in a wonderful location. Kihei has much more to offer than we expected. A small suggestion would be an ice maker in the freezer. (NOTE FROM OWNER: new kitchen appliances are in our plans for the near future) It was great that you had beach chairs and other things for the beach available to us. I would like to congratulate you for your magnificent apartment that is so nicely decorated. The hawaiian theme was very creative. Thank you for letting us spend a vacation in Maui that we will never forget. Your apartment brought us excellent moments. If I were to rate my time in Maui we would give it 5 stars!! Thanks for providing a quiet and lovely place to stay. For future guests: The best thing in the island are the beaches. Oneloa beach has huge waves you can swim in. If you want a lot of adrenalin go there. Towards Lanikai in west Maui there are some beaches that have few people. It is like having a beach for yourself. Enjoy!!

This place is great. We really enjoyed our honeymoon. You have provided more things than we could think of. Our suggestion to other guests is to rent a car at Kihei Rent-a-car and see the entire island. Drive to Hana and Lahaina. Book your luau early and visit the Sugar Mill. The island is beautiful. Respect the island and the islanders, they help a lot. We thank you for allowing us to share. Have a great stay.

We had a wonderful time here for the last 2 weeks. Just about everything we needed was provided- even the little things like salt & pepper, detergent for the dishwasher, and clothes washer. This is a great location and the resort itself is well run. Had some great meals at the Maui Thai about 5 minutes walk from here & the Vietnamese Cafe across from the Powerhouse Gym where we worked out most days. A real favorite in Lahaina was Cilantro's (Mexican). A real little gem of a beach close by is Po'olenalena but our favorite was the DT Fleming for boogie boarding. Altogether a fab time.

This was our first visit to Maui and we loved the location and grounds at the Maui Banyan. The condo owners have paid attention to details and it shows. Be sure to pick up a copy of Maui Revealed for excellent sources. Great snorkeling at Mokapu just east of Renaissance Wailea. Kam II is good too if you don't feel like driving. Plan a whole day for Hana Hwy and get an early start. Fred's (5 minute walk) great for breakfast and Taco Tuesday! Shaka Pizza beach side. Go to the Swap Meet there for some great buys. We went to Big Beach today- awesome beach, mediocre snorkeling. We have a snorkel trip to Molokini and Turtle Arches tomorrow and are excited but won't be back to Banyan since we'll be spending the next week at our daughter's home. If we have the opportunity to return we will definitely spend part of the time here again. Thank you Marie and family for your hospitality and the use of your awesome condo!

We enjoyed our visit to Kihei. Your condo was lovely and CLEAN. We really appreciated it a lot. We also enjoyed Maui Thai restaurant while we were here. We enjoy Polo Beach for boogie boarding and we also saw 7 turtles feeding at the next beach left of Polo. Big Beach had some great waves while we were here. We really enjoyed Ahihi Bay and Hololua Bay for the best ever snorkeling. Better than the snorkeling when we were in the Caribbean 2 months ago!
