This luxury riverfront apartment provides spectacular water views and is beautifully furnished and appointed. This 170 sq m (1860 sq ft) apartment is in historic Wapping, just a short walk from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London on streets dating back centuries. As the water laps against the wall just beneath your bedroom window or as you watch from the sofa as countless vessels of all sizes pass serenely by, you can relax fully with all the privacy and comfort of an immaculate private home - yet you're only a few steps away from the sights and experiences of this pulsing city.

The location: Wapping is a riverside community in the heart of London for 2,000 years, and it’s like a small piece of quiet delight in the heart of an otherwise very busy and lively city. Its cobblestone streets and ancient buildings ooze with history, and a unique village feeling comes from the fact that Wapping has no through roads. This blend of peace and central location (neighbouring both of London’s old and new financial districts) has given Wapping strong Royal ties and attracted celebrities including Helen Mirren and Cher to make Wapping their home. Stores just around the corner include top-class bakery and butcher, as well as grocery, fresh produce, fish & chip shop, pharmacy, newsagent, florist, post office, private cab firm, dry cleaner and liquor store. Local amenities include four parks, swimming, sailing and tennis. For riverside pub lovers, three of the best and most historic in all of London (the Captain Kidd, Town of Ramsgate and the Prospect of Whitby) are local.

Nearby attractions: All of London’s major tourist attractions are within easy reach.   • We have just returned from staying at Jon and Liz's wonderful apartment on the Thames! It is a lovely, open home with a great view right on the river. Great set up with plenty of space and well stocked kitchen. Their hospitality and help with the details was outstanding - would definitely return.

When we arrived we were even more delighted to find such a gem in an excellent location, with every facility of good quality that one could ask.   • My partner and I took our mothers to London for a “once in a lifetime” trip for them and we rented the flat. The apartment itself was gorgeous and contained all of the necessary amenities. The building was quiet and located beautifully to allow incredibly easy access via public transportation or taxi to all of London. During our stay, we had a minor plumbing problem and we were all very impressed with how quickly and efficiently the owners remedied the situation. We would definitely stay there again and we recommend it highly.

Spacious and well able to accommodate our family of 5. Centrally situated close to everything with the greatest river views of the Thames ever.   • My wife and four of our friend stay in the apartment for five nights during a tours of Europe and England.The apartment was absolutely fantastic. So much space and the furnishing and facilities were first class. The location of the unit for London sight seeing was perfect with the bus stop right at the front door. The Oyster card system for travel in London is the easiest way to get around and can be topped up at any time from the supermarket 100m from the unit. It was a pity the Wapping tube station was out of action but that could not be helped. There were plenty of good English pubs within a short walk from the unit and we tried most of them for dinner each night. All were very accomodating and had good reasonably priced meals. We could not fault the unit in anyway and the facilities provided were first class. The outlook from the balconey was excellent and there was no noise from the river traffic. When we told locals were we where staying they could not be believe that we were able to get that type of accomodation so claoe to London and it activities.If we travel to London again I will certainly be staying at this location again.

  • Really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It was clean, well-kept and spacious for our family (four children). Jon's descriptions of the how;s and what;s of the apartment and the area were very helpful. Riverside was fascinating, WApping was a lovely neighbourhood. There's an excellent (south)Thames walk from the apt. to Tate Modern. Don't miss it.
