Rio Cabana. . . in a word, CHARMING. The beautiful mountain cabin sits on 2 acres just 15 minutes outside of downtown Durango.
Just 30 feet outside the front door is the Florida River with excellent fishing. Cutbow trout, Rainbow trout, and German browns are all abundant in the cool waters.
Try your hand at fly fishing at more than 450 feet of river frontage. Catch and release only! Or, let the kids catch a trout in the stocked pond in the front yard.
Recently remodeled, the cabin sleeps five comfortably. The master is furnished with a queen sized bed. In the living area, there is a twin sized bed, and a queen futon. One full bathroom. Linens/dishes included.
Full kitchen, with stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave.
High-speed internet, TV, DVD player, gas BBQ grill.
Pull up a chair on the porch and spend a lazy afternoon, or check out all that Durango has to offer.

Well, you were right, we loved your cabin!! It was exactly what we were looking for and needed. We did leave the fish alone...instead, rented a jeep in Silverton and explored the Forest Service roads in the mountains between Silverton and Ouray. Gorgeous colors and old mines to explore...perfect day!! Having wi-fi in the cabin, we were able to stream a movie to the iPad (RIP, SJ) that evening. Rested up, we headed out to Mesa Verde the next morning. There are just no words to describe the mystery and beauty of it, but had you not had the magazine in the cabin advertising it, we would have totally missed it!! Cabin had everything we needed, plus!! Awesome, beautiful, peaceful setting. Dennis DID want to see a black bear, tho, and fortunately for me, that didn't happen!! ?????

This cabin was everything advertised and more. It was clean and had all the amenities needed. Very private and easy access to Durango and surrounding area. Management was easy to work with and very responsive. Can't wait to come back and spend more time. I would highly recommend Rio Cabana to anyone looking for a reasonably priced private little getaway.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It's located just outside Durango on the Florida River- great for fishing while dinner is on the grill. Nice updated bathroom and well stocked kitchen.We will be back next year for more 'rustic' fun.

The Rio Cabana is PERFECT! If you're looking for a rustic cabin with charm, this is it. Quite, private, relaxing, and close to all that Durango has to offer. It was exactly what we were looking for; our three-night stay was absolutely amazing. Enjoy!

My husband went to school in Durango and being back in that area was like a homecoming for him. There is no place like SW Colorado. I would recommend this trip to anyone -- and the cabin was hard to leave. The privacy and quiet location by the river was the perfect get-away that two very busy people really needed.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Riversong. The sound of the river is awesome and the fishing was very good. Our kids had a blast and loved every minute of it. We will be back next year. But of course it's Colorado in the summer!!!

This cabin is definitely in quality country. Maybe I am partial to the area since I am originally from there but no other place in the US can compare. It is quiet and peaceful, a real way to get back to the basics in life. I enjoyed my quiet mornings sitting on the porch drinking my coffee and watching nature come to life. The county road to access this property makes for an excellent path to walk with younger kids as well. The pond is wonderful to sit beside and listen to the river and just daydream. I will definitely be back to this property in the future.
