Take a book from our library and curl up on the Adirondack chair on the balcony overlooking the ocean! Immediately feel your tension melt away. Sleep at night with the sliding glass door open and listen to the sounds of the surf. Watch the pelicans and seagulls dive-bomb for fish and the dolphins playing just off the breakers.
This comfortable and cozy third floor condo is at Sand Pebbles, a highly desirable oceanfront complex located in the heart of Carolina Beach. The master bedroom has a queen bed. There are two twin beds in the second bedroom, a full sleeper sofa in the living room, and a rollaway bed. The kitchen is fully equipped. We have a large selection of DVDs, VHS tapes, and books to choose from. Free wireless internet. Two private gated pools on-site. Only a short beach walk to the Tiki Bar where you can listen to live bands on summer weekends and drink your favorite cocktails. You are only a short distance from our City Lake with paddleboats and a walking trail. Outdoor movies are shown there during the summer evenings. You can charter a fishing boat and go deep sea fishing or schedule a dinner cruise at the local marina. Rent Jet Skis or kayaks. Bike around the island. Watch the weekly fireworks display while cozying up to your favorite person on the beach...
You are only five miles from Fort Fisher and the newly renovated NC Aquarium. From Fort Fisher take a 30 minute ferry ride to Southport, a quaint little town with great antique and specialty shops. You may be lucky enough to watch a movie being filmed. This is the home of Dawson's Creek and films such as "The Wedding" with Halle Berry and "Domestic Disturbance" with John Travolta and Vince Vaughn. The locals have great stories to tell! Approximately 20 minutes from Carolina Beach is Wilmington, NC. Enjoy an ice cream cone as you walk the waterfront in historic Wilmington. Visit the USS North Carolina Battleship, shop at the Cotton Exchange, take a carriage ride. Enjoy the best seafood around. Learn to shuck oysters!

Restful condo by the beach

You could see the beach and ocean from the porch, and NOT from a mile away like some other "ocean front" condos. There were actually THREE flat-panel TVs in this unit, and so many movies that the kids were watching a movie in one of the BRms, while the adults were watching another in the LR. We just lounged on the beach most of the time. The kids also loved the TWO pools.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our kids loved this condo - it had many beach toys that they played with, and we could walk to the beach in no time. And my wife and I loved the seafood restaurants recommended by the owners, such as Michael's, which had the best seafood chowder we ever tasted. An evening cruise was romantic, even with the kids! The kitchen was great, with all untensils and appliances included. The overall decor of the condo was tasteful and unique. We're coming back next year.

This condo had it all, a great view of the ocean, a central location near restaurants and other attractions (e..g, the marina/cruises, fishing pier, etc), and a large collection of movies. The beach was a one-minute walk from the building! This condo even had wi-fi with high-speed Internet access! The owners left a lot of information about the area, so we had plenty to chose from at our fingertips. Awesome beach vacation!
