Lazy Dog Lodge is a beautiful, fully equipped lodge/cabin located in the sought after "Upper Canyon" in Ruidoso, New Mexico. This location is ideal for walks, hiking and biking.
The benefits of this mountain retreat are being nestled in the pines while only one mile from shops and dining. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon sitting on the front porch. The river can be seen and heard and it is common to see wildlife walking around the property.
From the loft you can lose yourself in the moment, reading, playing a board game or just daydreaming. If surfing the internet is a necessity, we have that too (wireless internet).
In the master suite, you have and expansive room to share a space without feeling cramped. Enjoy watching television from bed or relaxing in the prefect reading chair. Both bathrooms offer curved shower rods for that extra elbowroom. The pillow-top queen bedded guest room has a large walk-in closet. The double twin bedded guest room has access to the outdoor courtyard.

We really enjoyed Lazy Dog Lodge in Ruidoso last week. It was close to the downtown shops, grocery store and restaurants. The place was comfortable and convenient and we had lots of fun hiking and "tobagonning" on the hillside right by the lodge. We were there at the right time to enjoy the snow. The hot tub was great and the steaks came out great on the outdoor gas grill. Our "South Texas" dogs also enjoyed the outdoors and the snow. Great Place. We are looking forward to going back next year. Once again - THANKS. I will highly recommend Lazy Dog Lodge to others.

I just got back from a deployment, and wanted to spend some quality time with my family, away from it all. I got just that with the "lazy dog" cabin. The cabin had all we needed... dishware, flatware, sheets, internet, hot tub, and a dog run, which enabled me to bring my dog. It's off Sudderth, which was convenient for our shopping needs. I would recommend this cabin to my friends, and would rent it again, once the opportunity arises. Thanks!

Hi Michelle Oh our stay in your cabin was so AWESOME!!! The deer were in abundance and so cool to be able to be that close and take pictures. The dog run was so very nice didn't have to worry about the dogs getting out. The walks we got to do were so very pleasant and the scenery was beautiful.. We can not wait to do it again.

We recently enjoyed our 4th (or 5th?) stay at Lazy Dog, and already plan to return next year. We originally found it because it is perfect for our pets, but have grown to love it each time for it's comfort and convenience. The owners are always helpful, responsive and pleasant to deal with. The location is close to "everything Ruidoso," but still feels like a quiet cabin in the woods. For a laid back place to relax with family and friends (furry or not), I always recommend Lazy Dog Lodge.

My family and I stayed at this lovely cabin recently and had a wonderful time! It was cute and comy for the whole family including our little dog. There is a great little dog run on the side of the cabin so we didn't worry about losing her. The cabin was well supplied with anything that we could have needed and the view is wonderful. Just far enough to feel like your in the woods, but still close enough that if you need to go into town it doesn't take long at all. We can't wait to go back!

This place is just as it shows in the pictures, picture perfect. The private courtyard and hot tub was really nice, the only reason I did not give it 5 stars was it was lacking fans in the bedrooms, and the weather was hot when we were there.We took our small dog, and it was just like he was at home also, perfect for pets. The location is great, and easy to find. I would recommend it, and would like to stay there again. The owners were easy to work with, and we had our deposit back nearly as soon as we got home.

We just stayed at the Lazy Dog Lodge and its a wonderful little cabin with an incredible view. There were 3 adults and 3 small dogs. I believe this cabin would sleep a lot more people comfortably but even with extra space, the cabin is very cozy. The private courtyard was the best part; fully fenced little area at the back of the cabin where you could enjoy the hottub or patio relaxing. The fenced side yard was 100% safe for our little 10 pound doggies to run around in a secure area. Which for us is hugely important. This cabin was wonderful, all around. Can't wait to go back!!! :)
