Situated midway between Victorian Mendocino Village and Fort Bragg, SEA GARDEN is a favorite ‘hangout’ for abundant wildlife including deer, turkeys, various hawks, rabbits, quail and great blue herons. The ocean sounds of crashing surf are intermittently punctuated by barking sea lions. From upstairs and new downstairs master suite there is an unobstructed view of the mesmerizing Pt. Cabrillo lighthouse. Wonderful whale watching and birds galore, with telescope and wild birdseed provided.

Walk to Otter Cove directly out the back door, to popular Caspar
Beach a few blocks away, or follow headlands path to Point Cabrillo
lighthouse or nearby sea lion rocks.

Mendocino and Fort Bragg shops and restaurants, Noyo Harbor boats
and fishing, Botanical Gardens, Skunk Train, horseback riding, many
state parks, redwood forests and wineries are all nearby.

Sea Garden was the perfect place for us to all spend time together, enjoy the beautiful outdoors, relax, and remember why we live in California. Our trip there will not be the last as we now plan to do that at least once a year together."

  • We stayed at Sea Garden over memorial day weekend and had a fantastic time. The house was very comfortable, with a view of the ocean and the sound of sea lions rising up from the rocks below. The garden on the side of the house is utterly beautiful, and perfect for naps and reading a book. We even held our own Pilates class in the garden! The location can't be beat, with Mendocino a few miles away and a nature preserve just steps away. I definitely would visit this house again.
