Winter: Nearby Donner Pass and north Lake Tahoe ski resorts include Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Soda Springs, Royal Gorge, Donner Ski Ranch, NorthStar, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Granlibaken, Tahoe Donner, Homewood and Donner Ski Ranch. Located west of Donner Summit at 6,400 foot elevation in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Summer: Explore the South Yuba River within walking distance at PlaVada Woodlands entrance. Golf, hiking, boating, music festivals, events of all kinds to be found within a short drive. Many golf courses nearby in Truckee, Tahoe City, Kings Beach, Incline Village, Blairsden-Graeagle, Carson City, Reno. Hike the Pacific Crest Trail with nearby access at Big Bend. Visit Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe for boating, beach time, picnics. Raft adventures on the Truckee River from Tahoe City.

- No Pets Allowed: Although we love them, we want to assure guests of a clean, pet-free environment.
- Kid Friendly: Located at the end of the road with plenty of area around the home suitable for kids to play. The road has a gentle slope and makes a good slow sled run in the winter. The hillside provides sledding opportunities for the more advanced sledder.
- Smoking Not Allowed: We wish to maintain a smoke-free, fresh environment. Guests may smoke outside if they wish.

We really enjoyed our stay in your home in Soda Springs and our cross-country skiing adventures at Royal Gorge nearby. Your home was very spacious for the four of us and very well stocked. We're readers so we appreciated the natural light from all the windows in the living/dining area, the plentiful ceiling lighting, and the big green reading chair. (Okay, I imagine other people like it for watching TV, but we think it's a reading chair.) Thank you for providing such a lovely place for us to stay.
