Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2007
Our family has been connected to Neebish Island for over 100 years. We are now in the 5th generation of family members who love coming to the island and enjoying the freighters, the simpler life, and the beauty of the island.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Westview is an incredibly comfortable place to live. The views of the freighters as they exit the Rock Cut, the sunsets, and the wildlife are amazing. Neebish Island is centrally located in the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so there are many opportunities for day-trips to unique locations - the Soo Locks, Tahquammenon Falls, Mackinac Island, Whitefish Point and the Shipwreck Museum, Pictured Rocks in Munising, etc. The water of the St. Marys River is clean and gorgeous. We feel that Westview provides the perfect vacation experience.

Imagine being able to "hear" the quiet as you settle in to sleep each night. Or the thrill of hearing a salute from a Great Lakes freighter. Visualize breathtaking sunsets as you gaze westward across the St. Marys River. If simplicity, serenity, unparalled natural beauty, and living on an island (you take the Neebish Island Ferry from the mainland to the island), then you will fall in love with Neebish Island. Our family has been on Neebish Island since the early 1900's. During the summer, we too, live on Neebish and enjoy the island's beauty with our friends and family. We love it, and hope that you will too.
