We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Summer Breeze. Debbie was a joy to work with. House was great for our family. The fact that we could bring our dog was great. The house is right across the street from the beach. And about 1 mile to the ONLY Starbucks in the Outer Banks. If we go back to the OBX, Summer Breeze will be our first choice.

My husband, sons, granddog & I had a wonderful weekend stay at "Summer Breeze"! It is a beautiful, spacious and roomy cottage with gorgeous views of the ocean. We were lucky enough to catch dolphins swimming by from our view at the dining area table. The cottage is decorated with lovely beachy decor, is very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. The cottage is also pet friendly and has a deck that runs the length of the cottage with doggie gates at both ends. We will definitely be back to visit again . . . maybe even make it a traditional anniversary getaway!! Thanks Debbie & John for being so nice, easy and accommodating to rent from!!

We stayed at Summer Breeze from August 20-25th. Even though our vacation got cut short by Hurricane Irene, my friends and I had an absolutely wonderful time. The house was very nice and MUCH more spacious than the photos. There was 9 of us and we had plenty of room. The house was a very short distance from the beach so it was very convenient if we forgot something. We were also very close to many of the restaurants in Kitty Hawk. Our absolute favorite thing about the house was the large porch. The majority of the time we were at the house, this is where we were. It fit all 9 of us and you could hear and feel the breeze of the ocean. We definitely all want to return next year!! Thank you so much Jon and Deb!!

Our vacation at Summer Breeze was exceptional! The house is very clean, neat and comfortable. The location is exceptional, right across the street from the beach, it is like being ON the beach! We traveled north to Corolla and South to Nags Head for day trips b/c this house is right in the middle of the island, such a great location! It also only took us 10 minutes to get off the island on change over day...no waiting for hours on the island highways b/c it is right by the intersection off the island. There are some GREAT little restaurants right by the house as well. The kids loved the beach, it is not crowded and we could run back to the house for drinks, bathroom breaks, etc. We grilled on the front deck every night. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need. Debbie and John are AWESOME..so helpful and nice! They answered all our emails prior to our vacation and are so sweet!!! There are plenty of beach chairs and boogey boards in the garage. We brought our bikes and it was so nice to put them in the garage and secure them while we were out. We also brought our dog and she was on the beach with us almost the entire time, she had a blast and all the kids on the beach loved her! There are TWO sets of washers and dryers in this house, one upstairs and one in the garage...very nice for doing laundry (upstairs) and towels (garage). I think the house was freshly painted b/c every room had beautifully painted walls with very calming, light colors. This house makes you feel like it is your own b/c it is so comfortable. It also has great board games and movies that we enjoyed one night. My kids would have liked a game system like a WII or X-Box, but since we don't own one at home, we didn't mind not having one at the beach. We were at the beach to be outside:) This house was the answer to our prayers for a beach vacation that we could afford. Thank you Debbie and John!!!!!

The owner Debbie was great to deal with - very nice and helpful! We chose this rental both for the location as well as because we could bring our dogs. Worked out very well for us. Comfortable and very clean house, just one house separating us from the beach. There are 2 bedrooms and baths on the upperlevel, plus main kitchen and living room and deck. The lower level has 2 more bedrooms, additional kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Plenty of parking. Our security deposit came back to us promptly and we had no problems whatsoever. Would stay here again!

We had a great weekend at Summer Breeze! The location is great and close to a beach access. You can enjoy the sounds of the waves and the ocean breeze from the front porch. This beach rental has everything you could possibly need for your time at the beach. More importantly, John and Debbie were very easy to work with and kept open communication.

Relaxing Getaway!

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Summer Breeze. We had an incredible time! The location is just perfect! We would sit on the front porch and could see the ocean and relax while we took in the view. The cottage was very clean and very well equiped. There was no need to go out and eat anywhere, we had everything we needed right there. Some things that were important to us were to be close to the beach and the sand dunes to go hangliding, and this cottage met all our needs and then some. The owner was so pleasant and easy to deal with. I would definitley recommend this place to all my friends and anybody else that is looking for a great place, a great location with a great view!

A wonderful getaway

This place is a lot more spacious than the pix make it out to be. It's clean, roomy, has a stocked kitchen, laundry, a hot tub and even foosball. It's literally across the street from the sand and it's nice that there are beach chairs/buckets/umbrellas to readily use. We definitely recommend a stay at Summer Breeze!

Can't beat this beach house

My friends and I absolutely enjoyed our stay here at Summer Breeze. There were 11 of us and it never felt like it was too crowded. The house was more spacious than I thought. We enjoyed the board games that came with the house, as well as foosball in the garage. We loved walking across the street and being on the beach. It made it easier to leave the beach and let my dog out since he was scared of the ocean! The outdoor shower was very convenient for bathing him, as well as rinsing off before going inside. We also loved the many beach chairs and boogie board! The kitchen is also very well stocked. We took turns cooking dinner and enjoyed eating on the front deck every night. Everyone is already talking about renting Summer Breeze next summer!

My family & I loved the beautiful, airy cottage! The house is very well maintained and comfortable and the 2 separate living areas are great for large groups or families. We were close enough to everything (restaurants, grocery stores, etc) but not too close as to feel it was busy and crowded. (it's at a quieter section of the beach, which was very important to my family) I loved sitting on the porch listening to the waves and leaving the screens on the porch open to catch the breezes. The outdoor shower was great for the dog after having been swimming,..we, humans, thought it was pretty good, as well! We'd definitely recommend this cottage to anyone and would not hesitate to stay here again!

Great Cottage!!

My family and I rented this cottage the week of June 4-12. This is our 2nd year we rented for John and Deb and they are great to rent from. This cottage is very clean and neat. It is simple without a lot of clutter. The kitchen has enough pots, pan, and dishes to make any meal you want. The location is so good, because we love to stay in Kitty Hawk from there you can go any where on the OBX you want. Their cottage is so close to the beach, you just walk straight across the beach road and you are there. The beach is pretty wide at the cottage and not crowded. We also loved sitting on the front deck at night. The first two nights of our vacation, some of my co-workers stayed and they were also impressed with the conveniece and the cleanliness of the cottage. This cottage may look small, but it is very large and roomy inside. We never got in each others way. If you want to go to the Outer Banks this is the only place I would stay. Amazing Weekend Trip!

I stayed at Summer Breeze in May and the cottage was amazing. There were 10 of us and we all had a comfortable place to sleep and relax. The cottage was clean, bright, fun, and beautiful. The outdoor shower was perfect to rinse my dog off after a day at the beach! We bbq'd every night and used the garage for an extra party room, in addition to 2 decks, basement, and upstairs living room! Restaurants, mini golf, shopping, were all close by. I couldn't have asked for a better beach getaway for 4 days in May. I cannot wait to go back to OBX and stay at Summer Breeze again!

Debbie & John - We took note of how much love you both put into remodeling and decorating your home. We wanted for nothing. We were all very comfortable and felt very much at home. We loved the ceiling fans in all the rooms, especially the kitchen. The fact that there were some necessities left for us (e.g., toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc.) was such a bonus. Usually, there is nothing at all and you have to go to the grocery store immediately if you haven't brought those things with you. We loved the big screen t.v. and the abililty to use WiFi on our computer. The carpet was so comfy, as was the seating in the living room. Two refrigerators were a real bonus, as was the icemaker. There were plenty of comfortable chairs and even cocktail tables on both decks. The ocean views were fantastic! You thought of absolutely everything a person could want or need in a vacation home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'll be back!!!

"Summer Breeze" is so much more than the normal vacation rental, it is a beautiful home. The decor and attention to detail is just fantastic. This home is clean, well-equipped and organized; on top of being warm and relaxing. Our group of eight was very comfortable in this spacious home. We had coffee on the front porch every morning, walked across Beach Road to spend the majority of the day on the beach, then moved to the hot tub to enjoy cocktails while watching the beautiful Outer Banks sunset each evening, followed by dinner prepared in the beautiful and equipped kitchen. The outdoor shower with hot water is so convenient and the double washers and dryers are a bonus. John and Debbie, Thank you for allowing my family and friends to spend the week in your home. We look forward to our stay next year; I will be contacting you when we have a firm date. April

This house was a great getaway. Fully stocked with everything you could need for a week, this was an affordable vacation spot for a group of friends on a budget. We loved it all from the nice furniture and rooms, the hot tub, the kitchen, and the short walk to the beach. Easily the best house I've stayed at in the Outer Banks.

This property is beautiful inside and out. We were delighted with all of the "extras" including two sets of washers and driers, board games, beach chairs, wireless internet, and tons of pots and pans in the kitchen. There is plenty of deck space and plenty of doors to access it. The hot tub and propane grill were very nice to have. Easy access to the beach. We hope to return next year!
