  • We stayed here for the last two weeks of Feb '09, and had a wonderful time. The condo is very quiet and private, and the views were outstanding, as we watched every sunset (only two cloudy days) from the lanai. From that vantage point, we also watched whales spouting, breeching, tail slapping, and just floating everyday. On two days, we had them just outside the breakers shown in some of the pictures, directly out in front of the complex. I snorkeled everyday, and viewed many types of marine life, that I hadn't seen in my 20+ trips to Hawaii. Green sea turtles, octopus, monk seals were my companions on several of my outings at the beach directly west of Kuhio Shores. We would definitely rent this unit again. This was not a paid commentary!!

  • We stayed at this wonderful place the last week of January, 2009. The photos are accurate and, if anything, don't do the view justice. The unit is perched at the edge of the ocean with the surfers, turtles and whales right outside your lanai. At the same time, you won't feel exposed to other guests as the unit is on the third floor. It was a quiet and wonderful retreat. The owner is responsive and cordial.
