Beyond this is a lovely view of the inland waterway with its own fishing/boating dock where you can watch the sun rise and dine with the stunning sunsets.You'll see local wildlife including alligators, otters, turtles and all kinds of birds. Heron’s Rest is situated in a charming, peaceful community with homes and recreation carefully placed amid nature reserves spanning thousands of acres. Rotonda is an area that caters for many interests and pursuits. With its relaxed atmosphere and abundant wildlife, there is something for everyone, from the renowned golf courses on your doorstep to the white, sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. There are local, free tennis courts and cycling trails and the villa is equipped with two sets of Calloway golf clubs, four bicycles, tennis racquets and fishing rods!
The south-facing pool and deck provide a constant sun-trap from sunrise to sunset. With modern, spacious living, this villa has been built to the highest standards and has been beautifully furnished as a home. The accommodation is open-plan and fully air conditioned. It has a large living room with a separate dining area,a breakfast bar and every modern convenience you could need. The living room has sumptuous relaxing sofas to watch the 42 inc widescreen Plasma TV,we even have HD cable TV for you to enjoy!
The wall-to-wall patio doors in the living room and dining area overlook the screened patio and pool, where you can breakfast as the sun rises or enjoy evening dining as it sets. A further sundeck leads to the waterway docking, where you can fish or just relax in the sun. Sun loungers are provided, as well as beach chairs and such for days at the coast. The villa has fencing around the perimeter, which creates a private garden that incorporates a separate sun-bathing area.
The Master bedroom has a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom complete with “his and hers” wash basins, a separate toilet and large walk-in rain shower. Bedroom Two, with a queen-sized bed, and the third bedroom with its two single beds share a second bathroom with a bath and shower. All three bedrooms have their own flat screen televisions(some with dvd) The Master and second bedrooms have patio door-access to the pool area.
The double garage has been carpeted and curtained in a “den” style, with a sofa that pulls out into a double bed, allowing more living space for additional friends or members of the family. It even has its own TV.
A small alcove from the kitchen houses an “office”,complete with a desk, Broadband internet access, fax and telephone with free local calls.
Child-friendly with travel cot and high chair provided. Pool alarm system available.

We just fell in love with this area of SW Florida! Its non commercialised, not spoilt, a real taste still of local community Florida. Real people still live here! Beaches are fabulous!Uncrowded white sand with the most incredible sunsets over the gulf. When we decided to buy here we wanted not just a vacation villa, but a home situated in the very best area of Rotonda and in the perfect position. Secluded and not overlooked, south facing on the waterway. Villa is equipped the very highest standard, besides it is our home!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
For me 10 minutes to the beach! for my wife 10 minutes to shopping! its away from it all yet has all you need to hand. Walking, cycling or we like to jog, around Rotonda, spotting wildlife as we go. The Villa backing on to waterway means you can sunbathe, relax and dine on the pation with a glass of somehing special as the sun sets! or why not rise early to see it glow over the water!
Where else can you relax and watch the local wildlife play? Herons rest on the fishing boat dock, otters play and fish for supper, Cranes, birds of all varieites. Spot the Alligators as they glide by, stopping by.

I am English, my wife American. We live in the UK, married for nearly 30 years we have two grown up daughters. One is training to be a doctor the other a lawyer. So they should both be able to take care of all our needs as we grow older!! We visit family in Florida regularly and now own our own piece of it in Rotonda. I jog to keep fit, my wife shops! We just love it here, not just the sun, but the whole area is unique, unspoilt and special. You will have the most relaxing, "get away from it all", fun time here!

Just to let you know we had a great holiday and enjoyed the villa, pool and fishing as well as seeing an alligator a few times which appeared while our grandchildren were there which was great. Now that we have returned to the UK, I thought that I would drop you a line to say how very much we enjoyed our stay at Heron's Rest.It really was way beyond our expectation - and we have stayed in many villas over the years! The wildlife was quite spectacular - especially the almost resident Anhinga, which visited us every day. Perhaps the villa could be re-named "Anhinga's Rest"! I will send you a photo - which you are very welcome to use if you wish. If you do, please drop me a line, as I would like to see it. i'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing us to stay at your home. it was absolutely fantastic both inside and out and i can categorically say it was the best home we have ever stayed in! after a week at the theme parks it was the perfect antedote and we didn't want to leave. everything about the house and the surrounding area was brilliant. the kids were never out of the pool and Maxine loved her early morning coffee on the dock watching the wildlife. we managed to see the otters catching their meal a couple of times. it was the perfect place to chill out and catch some sun. we made it to Boca Grande a couple of times which I absolutely loved. we'd love to come back in a couple of years when our next florida trip is scheduled. thanks once again,

Mike, we have only just returned from Florida, but wanted to send a quick thank you for allowing us to share your lovely villa. Eveything about it was fantastic. The villa itself was beautiful, and decorated to perfection. The pool and outer areas were wonderful for just lazying around reading a book, or throwing a line into the waterway to catch some decent sized catfish. Also the nature in the area was so interesting. There was always something to look at. And last, but not least, the sporting equipment provided was so varied that there was always something for someone to do. All in all we had a wonderful 10 days, and this really set us up for the rest of our holiday in Florida.

hi Mike We've just got back home from Florida. We wanted to let you know that we had the most relaxing time ever in your house. I've have rented houses/apartments all over the world and have yet to rent one so well fitted out as yours. The bikes and the fishing rods were especially well used, we even caught a few fish We are looking at returning next year and persuading my parents to join us, is the house available from 4th June for 2 weeks? We have stayed in many properties throughout our travels but this one certainly surpassed them all. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. The dock where the guys went fishing was a big highlight for them. All the facilities were excellent and we would certainly recommend your lovely home to all our friends and family. We certainly hope to return in the near future.
