Dear Mike Yes unfortunately we are back at work. We had a marvellous time and your house is the best I have ever rented. You obviously really thought about bringing the outside into the house, views from all rooms were great. Very few villas give this view from so many rooms. Chris caught reasonable size gar fish and we saw two gators, turtles, wood stork etc. Even a tortoise on the road opposite! Most relaxing holiday - as relaxing as going off on our narrowboat. Hi Mike, We had a great time staying at Herons Rest over Easter.The villa was very well equipped and comfortable.We all enjoyed using the bikes and my son spent many happy hours fishing,often accompanied by the Herons. It made a change to have pool heating that actually worked and we made full use of it,often swimming under the stars after a busy day sight seeing. Thanks for a lovely holiday, The Dodson family. stunning! absolutely loved the house - I want it! The house is superbly fitted, the furnishings and fittings are first class and extremely tasteful. The owners have very good taste. I have to say we were envious when we arrived. The fishing rods were a bonus and we certainly made use of them, my husband caught his first catfish. We havent been to Rotonda before despite visiting florida many times and i have to say that we were really quite taken with the area and would recommend it to anyone. If theres a downside i couldnt find it - though i would say that the two ornamental dogs made my son and i jump when we opened the door, it was quite funny though. excellent house, great area, wish i had booked longer. Hi Mike, Just to let you know we had a lovely holiday. Your villa is beautiful and in such a peaceful spot - just what we needed after a hectic week at the Parks. We enjoyed exploring the area but also spent quite a lot of time lounging around and in the pool. Brian managed several fishing sessions and I have a few photos of his catches plus onlookers! Mike Absolutely fantastic....what a beautiful home you have.We felt we got to know the gators,turtles and heron quite well.Thought Farlows on the Water was about as good as it gets for seafood.Tried to attach a photo of my eldest with the largest of the catfish we caught using old steak as bait....caught loads.Just a fab week. Hi Mike We had a wonderful time thank you - we loved your villa - it had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We have previously rented 2 other properties in Rotonda (both in Pine Valley Court) and the children both agree with us that Herons Rest was the best! It is a very well maintained villa and feels more like a home than a rental property so we looked after it as if it was our own. Our holiday at Herons Rest was superb. The accommodation was exceptional, offering the peace and quiet we were looking for. The variety of wildlife to be seen from the villa and surrounding area was far more than expected. The location offered easy access to all local amenities, shopping malls and tourist attractions - even a trip to Orlando to a couple of parks. Overall the best holiday my family has experienced.

We have stayed in many properties throughout our travels but this one certainly surpassed them all. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. The dock where the guys went fishing was a big highlight for them. All the facilities were excellent and we would certainly recommend your lovely home to all our friends and family. Herons Nest is a homely well maintained villa, an ideal spot for watching wildlife from the deck. Accommodation is very nicely decorated and well equiped. (One negative-If needed, you couldnt really use garage as a room,as its very hot in there ) We had the water tank burst and have to say it was dealt with very quickly and efficiently by friendly staff. Altogether a very good holiday destination.

Mike, we have only just returned from Florida, but wanted to send a quick thank you for allowing us to share your lovely villa. Eveything about it was fantastic. The villa itself was beautiful, and decorated to perfection. The pool and outer areas were wonderful for just lazying around reading a book, or throwing a line into the waterway to catch some decent sized catfish. Also the nature in the area was so interesting. There was always something to look at. And last, but not least, the sporting equipment provided was so varied that there was always something for someone to do. All in all we had a wonderful 10 days, and this really set us up for the rest of our holiday in Florida.

i'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing us to stay at your home. it was absolutely fantastic both inside and out and i can categorically say it was the best home we have ever stayed in! after a week at the theme parks it was the perfect antedote and we didn't want to leave. everything about the house and the surrounding area was brilliant. the kids were never out of the pool and Maxine loved her early morning coffee on the dock watching the wildlife. we managed to see the otters catching their meal a couple of times. it was the perfect place to chill out and catch some sun. we made it to Boca Grande a couple of times which I absolutely loved. we'd love to come back in a couple of years when our next florida trip is scheduled. thanks once again,

A very beautiful Florida villa. Exceptionally well appointed with first class furniture and fittings, this far exceeded our expectations and rates as one of the nicest homes we have rented in our travels around the world. Spacious, light & airy accommodation catering for a small or large group in comfort. Great pool and outside furniture. Wonderful to the dock and to be able to sit back and fish from the bottom of the garden - my husband was in his element! Also, to have bicycles at our disposal was an added bonus and I am sure that if we were interesed in golf, the clubs would have been equally appreciated. Lots of lovely restaurants and things to do in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. Loved it."

We have stayed in many villas in Florida and this is without doubt the best! Beautiful and clean with all the appliances (including a good quality TV) you could wish for. The bed in the master bedroom is amongst the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The wildlife is spectacular, with alligators, herons, turtles and best of all the Anhinga. Not to be missed. Situation wise, this villa is probably in the most ideal spot in Rotonda - very quiet, yet very accessible to beaches, restaurants and (for the wife), shops. I would have no hesitation in recommending Herons Rest to anyone.

Now that we have returned to the UK, I thought that I would drop you a line to say how very much we enjoyed our stay at Heron's Rest.It really was way beyond our expectation - and we have stayed in many villas over the years! The wildlife was quite spectacular - especially the almost resident Anhinga, which visited us every day. Perhaps the villa could be re-named "Anhinga's Rest"! I will send you a photo - which you are very welcome to use if you wish. If you do, please drop me a line, as I would like to see it. "Simply outstanding. This property has everything you could want and more. It is a "home" rather than a "holiday rental property" which is why you can relax without a folder full of rules and regulations. We found the computer and internet access to be essential for planning days out and also keeping track of tropical storms! All the extras made for a relaxing time - bikes, pool toys, beach gear, well equiped kitchen, etc. This property is highly recommended.

Just a quick note to tell you how pleased we are to be renting your home here in Rotonda. Donna at Suncoast was great, the home is spotless, and what a beautiful home. My wife and I plan to buy a place here in the next few years, and I hope we can get one this great. The layout is perfect, everything we need is here, and little things like the sheet explaining all the light switches helped a bunch the 1st night. All in all, perfect...and we shall treat it like our own while we are here.

"We enjoyed our stay at Herons rest it had everything you need, home from home, plus the extras of a pool and a dock at the bottom of the garden. Everything was so comfortable and clean, the beds, sofas, garden furniture etc. There were even extras to take to the beach in the garage which was great, and bikes to use though we ran out of time to take advantage of these. Rotonda is a central point to start exploring other parts of the gulf coast and nice restaurants nearby to enjoy some healthy meals. Thanks for a lovely stay, would highly recommend the villa."

"Of the many villas we have rented, this one has to be the best. The villa is well appointed, very comfortable and at the end of the holiday, everyone wanted to take their bed home. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we needed. The pool was good and there were plenty of comfortable loungers and seats. The extras - internet, bikes, fishing equipment, pool toys, dvds, board games, hairdryers etc., made it truely feel like a home from home. The only complaint was from my daughter - no Disney channel which for us parents was another bonus. The area was really quiet and provided for a great restful break. I would highly recommend this villa. For touring, just over an hour in each direction takes you to Fort Myers or Sarasota with plenty of beaches in between."

Fabulous villa, clean, modern with everything you need. I would recommend it for anyone who likes peace and quite after working in a hectic job, we do. Will definately keep this villa in our book of favourite places to stay as we will be coming back, suits both of us, my husband enjoys fishing and l relaxing on the sun deck with my favourite book, drink and chocs. Only one bad comment and that was finding the villa, we had a very frustrating 6hours looking for directions we received from the owners unfortunately there was a spelling error in one of the street names and our sat nav was totally confused, as was my short tempered husband, anyway, thankfully it was well worth all the frustration, absolutely gorgeous villa.
