  I just returned from a week's stay at this home, and everything was perfect. The home is located on a quiet street that ends at the beach on the gulf side of the island. It's a great location, and the house had everything we needed: BBQ grill, wireless internet, cable TV, a beautiful pool, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. But the icing on the cake was the gracious and helpful owner, who communicated with us throughout the process and our stay. It's not hyperbole to say that everything was perfect for us, it was a wonderful stay in a beautiful place.

  We loved our vacation to Anna Maria Island! The description and photos of this beautiful beach home are accurate. We stayed with our families which included 6 adults, a 5 yr old and an infant. We all loved the house and especially the pool. The walk to the beach was very easy even pushing the stroller.We used the well equipped kitchen for breakfast and dinner in the evening. We even had a campfire in the firepit one chilly evening. We found great places to eat on the island and fun shopping,too. We would recommend this rental to anyone and hopefully we will be back again real soon.

  We're a family of 5, with three children under 5 and are habitual vacation home renters. We've rented in many places, including Captiva, Vieques, Maui, and Hawaii. We have stayed at the Beach Escape multiple times (I've lost count but at least 4 times over 3 years.) and it is our favorite all around house. Our kids even refer to the Beach Escape as "our Florida house"! The house is fully equiped for a family, even for little ones-we stayed in the house with a 10 week old. Anita and Scott are wonderful hosts. The very few times we've called with a question or issue it was answered/resolved within that day. The house, pool, grounds and landscaping are both beautiful as well as comfortable. (And yes, it is as good, if not better than the pictures and the house is actually only 4 homes/lots from a beautiful beach, we've even walked barefoot the whole way before!) The house and pool both feel and look newly remodeled, and are always clean and well equipped. It truly has 3 baths and 4 bedrooms and feels like a much larger home due to the design and layout. We've stayed at the home with as many as 7 people (4 adults 3 children) and it did not feel cramped. The pool area is super cute and very comfortable. We love to spend the morning at the beach and the afternoon at the pool. We have family in the area, and have often hosted 10+ people at the house, typically all eventually sitting around the pool. We've referred friends to the house, and we've had other people we know who have rented it and also had a great experience. The immediate neighborhood is very quiet, as the dead end street reduces traffic. There are good restaurants in the area (we love the Sandbar and often walk down the beach for lunch/drinks) and the area is really convenient. If you are looking for an "old Florida" experience, with a modern convenient home, in a great location, with one of the best beach areas in the US, this is the house for you.

  This home was great for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) and small dog. There was plenty of space for us to all spread out. The house is very nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. We had some chilly weather but it didn't stop our kids from spending lots of time in the heated pool. It was very safe for our kids to walk to the end of the street (no roads to cross) and get to the beach on their own - great shelling too! Renting bikes is a must and cycling was our preferred mode of transportation. This house and island does not disappoint!

  We had the most amazing and relaxing vacation I can remember with 6 adults and 2 children at this Beach Escape. The owners could not have been any more accomodating. The kitchen had everything imaginable to cook great meals. There were beach toys galore for the kids and plenty of chairs for the adults to wheel to the beach, which was extremely close. The kids could walk right down the middle of the quiet street to the beach path. The trolley was easy to catch for plenty of tasty restaurants and we had a really fun night listening to live music at Feeling Swell. The house was very clean and new. The pool was perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach and sitting around with music and cocktails in the evening. We could not have imagined a better place to stay, and can't wait to return. Thank you!

  If you are looking for a home with all the charm of a Florida cottage on the outside and modern, tropical decor and ammenities on the inside, then the Beach Escape is the place for you! This home is one of the cleanest, best decorated, and well-supplied we've ever stayed in! The lush landscaping surrounding the home is beautiful and well-kept. The private pool was clean and right out the door; the beach a very short stroll away. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient to everything on the island. We enjoyed great food and views at the Beach House, Sandbar, and Rotten Ralphs; don't miss out on the delicious ice cream at Dips and Holy Cow. We also took a trip to Egmont Key which was wonderful. This was one of our best vacations ever! We would highly recommend staying here.

  My husband and I, along with our son and his wife, and my sister enjoyed your home away from home. It was great that we all had our own bathroom and privacy. It was comfortable and easy to keep clean and the decor was fun. It had something for everyone. The pool was refreshing and we had a blast in it every day. The close proximity to the beach was ideal especially for the early morning strolls and to watch the sunsets. It's the perfect distance to all places on the island - groceries; Anna Maria Pier which has the best coconut shrimp; fishing; ice cream and even Wal-mart isn't too far on the main land. We all had a wonderful time, in fact my son and his wife are considering renting again here with another couple. The only drawback was that the back patio with grill was uninviting. Anita was accommodating and so easy to deal with. We originally wanted to rent another home and when it became unavailable she suggested this one for the same price. Thanks for opening your home to us.

Since your last stay in 2010, we updated the patio to include both a gas grill, a charcoal grill and added a fire pit too.   We stayed here the last week of May Last year 2010.....I can not tell you how much we loved it. We did a family vacation with both sets of our parents and 2 teenage girls. We saw a ton of wild life from dolphin to manatees. Will stay again...and the owners are the best. This is a great place to stay ...we got everything the listing offers and then some.   We had a great time on our week visit. The kids loved the pool and the beach! It was great being so close to the beach and not having to cross any busy streets to get there. The house was very comfortable, it was like a home away from home. We would stay here again without a second thought.
