Luxury 5 star self catering lodge with en suite bathrooms, beautiful living area with stunning views, peaceful location yet not far from Edinburgh or the coast. Set in 633 acres of farmland.
The location is unique. Just 40 minutes drive from Edinburgh centre or Edinburgh Aiport, yet you will feel totally relaxed and as though you are miles from civilisation! The accommodation is spacious and all three bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.
Outside, taking advantage of the beautiful views, there are two areas of decking. The lower decking houses the large outside hot tub and there is also an additional picnic area as well as a further decking area. Gas bbq (gas is extra. Each lodge has its own hot tub.
There is ample parking and plenty of walks around the immediate area as well as further afield. There is a circular treasure trail from the lodges. Take time out to feed the pet pigs, Sophie and her daughter Jeannie. Or talk to the Shetland ponies, Bill and Ben. We also now have a further 6 little Sheltlands. The gang of four, which were rescused by the RSPCA from horrendous conditions - Marmalade, Waffle, Sophie and Mary. They are just adorable as also Ruby with her little foal, Rosie.
Included in the price:
Beds made up with beautiful white bed linen and hypo allergenic pillows and duvets. All beds are either Super Kingsize or Kingsize and some can be split into twins if prefered. Lovely large, fluffy white towels, eco-friendly, shampoo, soap, conditioner, shower gel etc. Dressing Gowns, slippers and leisure towels for use with the hot tub. All heating is included.
In the fridge you will find enough for your first breakfast, as well as milk and bread, tea and coffee. THe kitchen has tea towels, oven gloves, dishcloth, eco-friendly washing up liquid, dishwasher tablet, cleaning materials. The utility room has laundry tablets for the washing machine plus and additional fridge and freezer.
Included is WiFi internet access and a laptop computer can be made available if required. Also available by request is a cot, high chair, and equipment for the less able bodied. This lodge, which is one of four, has Category 2 disabled access.

Self catering with style! Totally relaxing with beautiful views. A sky, on a clear night, which is totally amazing when viewed from your own hot tub. So much peace yet only a half hour drive from Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, or half an hour from the coast.

We, that is myself (Carol) and my husband (Martin) have farmed at Airhouse for well over twenty years. We farm Aberdeen Angus cattle and we built the Lamont Lodge, as another three lodges, in 2006. We spend a lot of time in ensuring that your stay with us will be superb.

Wow what a wonderful 5 star lodge in an excellent location. Every window we looked out of had a breathtaking view of the wonderful countryside. The kitchen was so well equipped that we were happy to spend most nights in cooking as you had everything we needed and didn't feel the need to leave the farm. The generosity of the welcome pack was second to none, we still couldn't make our way through all the items over 7 nights. It was exciting to get up each morning and decide what to feed the pigs and the shetland ponies. The hot tub at night was my favourite as the non light pollution made the viewing of the stars excellent. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed. We can truly say that after our holiday we are very relaxed and look forward to returning to one of your beautiful lodges soon.

The Lamont Lodge was fantastic and all the little touches , the food, fresh fruit, coffee machine and coffee, shower gels and shampoos made this feel like staying in a 5 star hotel not a self catering lodge. Hot tub was a lovely warm retreat on a cold October evening. Plenty of DVDs and books to keep you amused and enjoyed our daily trips to feed the animals. Best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in.

Six of us stayed at The Lamont and had the most wonderful time. The Lodge had everything you needed and more. It was clean, warm, well furnished and well equipped. The setting is breathtaking and the hot tub was the most wonderful way to relax for an hour in the evening. We were all hot tub novices and did not think it would live up to the hype, boy were we wrong, it was fabulous. It was a pleasure to stay in accommodation where the owner's obviously care about their clients. The extra touches were much appreciated, the hamper, fruit, toiletries, robes and slippers all just added to the quality of the accommodation. Last but not least, the animals (think we bought all the carrots in Lauder). The ponies were adorable, the alpacas stand offish and the pigs were just hilarious (hope you check the fence regularly)because the way they run at it makes us think they will crash through it one day!!!!!! We will be back.

We spent a very relaxing 5 days at Airhouses .....the Lodges are very well fitted out. ...with extra touches like a Welcome Pack and Nespresso Coffee ..and best of all the Hot Tub ! We definately will return !
