Relaxing on the banks

Guest: Kruisen Kath (cornwall ontario)
Date of Stay: 04/19/08 Review Submitted: 04/29/08

We stayed at this property, Apr 19th-26th 2008, we came for some rest and relaxation, which I must say we got. The house was very private even tho' it was on an property with many other houses, but at this time of year it is quieter, the balconies are very nice to relax on, read a book, have a quiet drink etc, the hot tub was well used, and probably more practical this time of year as it's still a little cool for pool's. The beach was beautiful, a good walkers beach, my only comment on this is that they should have some parking for handicapped people with beach access available on the property but this has nothing to do with the house it's self, the walk to the beach was quite easy, but a little far for someone with a disability. We had a couple of rainy days which was fine as it gave us time to read, watch a few movies (there is a good selection at the house for guests use) and generaly slow down after our drive, over all we loved our visit. We wished we had longer to stay but work calls!

Owner response:Thanks very much Kruisen Kath. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Les Sables, and you came all the way from Canada! It's unfortunate that there are not enough handicap accomodations for those who want to visit the beach. Even if you drive around the block to the handicap/emergency beach parking, the dunes are high and accessible by stairs. Thanks again for your thoughtful review. We welcome you back again in the future. Owners of Les Sables

We had a nice time. Loved the bikes! Hurricane Katie kept us from swimming, but our grandaughter loved the beach.

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. The weather was perfect --70s-for beachcombing, hiking, walking the dogs. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. We didn't have to deal with crowds. Thanks for an enjoyable week!

The house was comfortable and relaxing. Our children enjoyed watching the Star Wars trilogy at night while we played Scrabble (I won everytime :))The days were filled with early morning trips to the beach and again late afternoon. A routine we could have done forever :). Thank you!

Our first trip to the Outer Banks and it was relaxing, enjoyable and memorable. Watching dolphins in the ocean to start most days and exploring this beautiful area in the afternoons. This was a wonderful home to enjoy. We'll be back!

Our family has stayed in this great beach house 3 times and love it!! We have been coming to the Outer Banks of NC for over 30 years and have stayed in numerous houses, condos, and hotels but this has been our favorite. We had another amazing week and look forward to our next vacation at Les Sables, our home away from home!!

We had a full week of sun, sea breezes, sand and play. The house is complete, every whim satisfied. The bicycles made us very happy, two days out and exploring.

"Fun Times" We have stayed in this great beach house on our last 2 visits to the Outer Banks. We have been traveling to this great beach destination for over 30 years together & this is our favorite home away from home! We will continue to rent this property for all our future vacations until we can hopefully aford a place of our own in the Outer Banks one day.

We enjoyed our stay in your wonderful home. We also did the Cardova [area on the north beach]. Instead of renting jeeps we did a tour which included entrance into the Mustang Reserve. We also saw 20+ ponies including 2 new foals.
