Located on rue des Filles du Calvaire (Metro 8 Filles du Calvaire), this 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment is ideally located. Just a few blocks to the Picasso Museum, Carnavalet Museum, and the National Archives, this traditional Parisian apartment is situated on a residential street at the end of rue de Turenne and rue de Bretagne. The apartment is on the third floor (with elevator) of a Hausmannian building circa 1868. The apartment renovations were completed January 2008, and it has all of the modern conveniences. This is a non-smoking apartment.
The apartment is a half block from the Filles du Calvaire metro station on the M8 line. This line serves Bastille, Madeliene, Concorde, and Ecole Militaire... all near places of interest.
A week-long rental includes pick up at the airport by an English-speaking “concierge” Xavier. He will transport you to the apartment and make sure that you have everything that you need!
The apartment has a large salon and kitchen. Comfortable furniture awaits you after a long day of shopping and sightseeing. The apartment has morning and afternoon sun, and has beautiful street and courtyard exposures.
The kitchen is fully stocked... dishes, pans, knives, etc... everything you need. Visit the market street and stock up for your relaxing breakfast, an afternoon tea, and your evening “aperitif.” And if you are too exhausted from your days’ activities, grab some wine, cheese, and delicious “deli items” and dine in!
The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed. Sit by the open window on a sunny afternoon and enjoy a good book or a little “cat nap”!
The second bedroom has a trundle bed that can be set-up as either one/two twin beds, or one king-sized bed. There’s a modern bathroom with shower and a separate “WC.” A full-sized washer and dryer will allow you to pack light and save room for all of your souvenirs!
Rue Bretagne is the market street of the neighborhood, and is home to the “Marche aux Enfants Rouges”, one of the oldest street markets in Paris. The street is also home to 2 supermarkets, 2 butchers, 2 green grocers, a cheese shop, pastry shops, a great wine shop, and cafes. All that you will need for “la vie quotidienne” is within a few blocks. |
