Though in a quiet residential street the colorful and famous Albert Cuyp Market is just around the corner, where you may buy the best fresh vegetables, fruits and fish in town, along with cheese, spices, bric a brac, clothes, etc.
The Museumplein with the Rijks Museum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum are just a short stroll away, as is the Spiegel Quarter, great for antique shopping. But when you tire of all this culture, the lively Leidseplein with it pubs and discos is within walking distance.
And excellent public transport just around the corner will take you anywhere in town. Or do as the locals and take a bike: bike rentals are nearby.
The 'Pijp' area itself is the most popular quarter in town, with loads of intimate restaurants, cozy bars and a wide range of shops.

The apartment is on the third and fourth floor (American counting) of a 19th century building that has recently been completely renovated to the highest possible degree, and just below the penthouse, listed under # 45605.
The apartment consists of a large living & dining area (covering a whole floor of the building) with open plan designer kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, convection and microwave oven and a half bathroom.
In the sitting area there is a big screen TV with DVD player and stereo set with CD and radio.
The living has a balcony and stairs to the upstairs bedroom and full bathroom.
The bedroom with king size bed has a mirrored wardrobe, a second TV and office area with laptop computer with wireless internet access and a copier/printer/scanner.
The bathroom has a tub and second toilet.
Both living and bedroom have parquet floors.
The apartment can sleep 4 persons: 2 in the bedroom and 2 additional persons in the living on very comfortable sleeper sofas, that fold out to beds.

High speed wireless internet access is included and on request we provide you with a laptop computer to no extra charge. On request we also provide guests with a Dutch prepaid cell phone to no extra costs.
The bathroom has a hair dryer, towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.
Included are all bed linens & towels.
The kitchen, supplied with dishes and utensils for 6 persons, is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, convection oven and a micro-wave. There is a dishwasher, a coffee maker, toaster and all other necessary supplies.
Amenities such as fresh coffee, tea, milk, sugar, juice and spices to cook with you will find in the kitchen cupboards.
Laundry service and in-between cleaning is included with stays of a week or more.
Before you arrive the apartment will be spotlessly cleaned and the beds made.
An ironing board and iron are available.
The apartment has central heating.
While all the rooms are non-smoking, smoking is allowed on the balconies.
