" We were very impressed with how clean and spacious your cottage is. We loved sitting out on the screened in porch! What a lovely place. We had a fun time here. Unfortunately we have to go back to the cold in Alaska. Hawaii is FANTASTIC. Hopefully we will come back."

"We enjoyed our stay here in Honokaa at Hale Hamakua. We hiked to Waipio Valley and it was an awesome view of the valley. The black sand beach was beautiful. We took an excursion to Hapuna Beach and loved the waves, sun & sand. The town of Honokaa is quaint--we are very happy that we came to this side of the island."

"Thank you for your beautiful comfortable cottage. We really appreciated your well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. The cottage is very clean and homey, and we found it to be in a great location. We loved picking the macadamia nuts, tangelos, and bananas from your property---oh so yummy! We like Honokaa town and Waipio Valley is gorgeous! We will visit as often as possible."

"We really enjoyed spending the last 2 nights of our honeymoon here at Hale Hamakua. It was a great homebase for our hike into Waipio Valley. We had good clazones at Cafe Il Mondo 1 block down. We are sad to be leaving the island of Hawaii but we will always remember this trip."
