Aloha! I grew up in Honolulu, and moved to Maui in 1984, after graduating the University of Hawaii at Manoa in December of 1983. I love surfing, paddleboarding, bodysurfing, and doing anything with my son Kai (9 yrs old/in the pic). I have a passion for Real Estate and understand the Maui Market well. Not knowing where to take our 2 recent graduates and I might add in the top 12 of the College of Business at OSU. I went on the internet and found Steve's beautiful place in Maui. After a few e mails and talking to him on the phone I went ahead and booked. My wife and our grad, and her best friend and roommate and her parents had the best time ever. Steve was there to get us in and everything he said was the truth. We are planning to book again with our daughters next year. Of course they will be paying a little bit this time! Take my word this is the best unit in the complex!

My husband and I traveled to Maui during the first week of October 2010. We went with family and had an absolutely amazing vacation! Steven’s three bedroom condo was immaculate. Everything about the condo was beautiful – the kitchen, bedrooms, and of course, the breathtaking ocean-view from every room. Steven was incredibly hospitable. We were making plans to come back before we even left. Thank you!

This condo was stunning. The layout, the views, bedrooms, kitchen, amenities and especially the owner Steven Gatchell. From the moment we walked into the room to the moment we checked out it was more than perfect.1st class accomodations with the best of everything. We have been to Maui 4 times now over the last 9 years and this trip because of the accomodations was the best. I'm normally staying at the Marriott Ocean Beach Club. They did not have any 3 bedrooms available back in Nov.2009 when I booked this trip. Good thing they didn't as I wouldn't have had the opportunity to experience Steve's place. If you are looking for the best of the best at affordable rates, this condo is the ticket. Mahalo to you steve Gatchell from all of my family. Thanks for helping us have such a great Maui vacation. We just returned from our trip to 3 islands in Hawaii. Honua Kai in Maui was our first stop. We traveled with 2 other couples and definitely wanted our seperate spaces. The 3 bedrooms with 3 full baths worked wonderful. Wow! We were overjoyed upon our arrival. The place was magnificent. I wanted to see everything Maui has to offer but actually hated to leave the resort. The pools are beautiful, the beaches are beautiful and the condiminium we stayed in left nothing to be desired.

Rarely is a rental property as good as promised. This is the exception! Incredible view, great location, and wonderfully decorated condo. Steve was great at providing everything we needed, as well entertainment recommendations. The beach is also fantastic with suprisingly very low traffic. Best spot on the island to stay by far. When they finish the waterpark next door (Also Honau Kai) this will be one of the top resorts in Hawaii!

We stayed at Steven's 3-bedroom condo at Honua Kai over President's Week, 2009. The development, and Steven's condo, are lovely. Everything you could possibly want. As there's construction next door (the second tower at Honua Kai is currently being built), we were concerned that there might be a certain level of construction noise — but we never heard a thing. We highly recommend the Honua Kai — by far the best development on either Kaanapali or North Kaanapali beaches.
