We arrived with every supply possible and were amazed at how well stocked this little treasure was. This rental was perfect for three women that had a long cold winter living on the beach in the Pacific Northwest and needed a warm getaway! The back yard was beautiful and the pool was perfect. The staff that came in to tend the grounds were very professional and friendly. Even though the house is located on a very busy street, we didn't notice because the house was so sound proof. Jazmine, you AND the house exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

THE PINK DOOR NEEDS THE OWNER'S ATTENTION!

Rented Pink Door 2/14/11-2/21/11 for the beginning of Modernism Week Upon arrival discovered: A Lockbox for key broken*had to call Jazmin to locate key B.Security system account inactive since 2008*per security co after I contacted them C.Broken garage window-cardboard covering it D 4 lane major highway in front,50 mps,going till 11pm*ear plugs necessary for all 5 guests E.NO SMOKE ALARMS*Palm Springs city contacted r/t safety codes F.3rd toilet didn't flush completely G.3rd shower didn't drain-standing in oily/loose hairs drain pipe water after 4 minutes H.Light bulbs burned out*we replaced some I.Ice maker broken-no trays J.2 Chaise's broken around pool K.Patio paint PEELING L.No instructions r/t TV,Security, stereo,-speakers outside couldn't be controlled*we didn't play music after 10:30pm so as not disturb neighbors M.DVD in 1 bedrm only-one chair in room to watch, or pile into bed N.Recycling can full of paint cans, yard waste*we emptied O.Trashcan bottom cracked open P.Stove vented into garage-over laundry Q.Old fenching piled on side of house R.Phone# on contract for assistance out of order, maintenance man not working since 2009 S.Jazmin in rental office very helpful,after call on 2/16 new maintenance arrived in one hour,looked at broken toilet, was to return next day with parts, we called, left message-no show. Toilet could be used by playing with tank flap + bucket of water to flush waste down. 1.Pool + heater, yard + privacy,interior furniture + layout + design, & central location were excellent. 2.View from the front windows was AMAZING! One days attention could restore this site to between good & excellent. The noise from the busy highway in front, after 7 days was less of a distraction. Jazmin at the rental office was GREAT to work with. There is too much selection in Palm Springs to tolerate this quality of rental. Wouldn't ever return or recommend The Pink Door. My husband and I usually stay at the Viceroy or the Parker when coming to PS but now that we have 7 week old twin girls we were looking for a different type of PS getaway. We spent the holiday weekend with 2 other couples and our twins. The Pink Door was perfect. The house was adorable with all the accessories and even had everything we needed to cook. The house was roomy and set up great for board games inside or just sitting around chatting. The living room furniture layout was facing the back yard so even with all the time I spent inside with the babies I still felt as if I was outside. The back yard was my favorite with plenty of seating, a fire pit and a great pool. The location was convenient with the main drag just a few minutes away we were still able to go out to dinner and check out the scene. I would highly recommend the Pink Door to anyone looking for a budget vacation (especially a girly trip). Thank you Pink Door we will be back again.

Me and 5 other girls stayed at the "pink door" in March of 2010- when we arrived at the house we were schoked by the decor. the house is very cute and decorated in a perfect girls trip theme. However, after the 2nd day of being there and having to buy all of our own cleaning supplies as well as toilet paper, dish soap, and paper towels, our power went out in half of the house. In attempts to fix this problem we went to the circuit breaker but none of the switches matched to that half of the house. We also did not have wireless as online. After trying to contact the renter for 3 days without any response and having no help we left early. Bottom line: cute place, unprofessional owner

Owner response:We were in Hong Kong at the time of this guests visit to the lovely "Pink Door" . The vrbo page does not advertise wireless , we have been told by Time Warner that internet is not available at that location. In this day and age most people have iphones or blackberries and the reception for those is great. I have always recommended a few great internet cafe's really close by for those that cannot get away from work on their Palm Springs get-aways .......We sent our handy man went over for all the other issues and sorted the ladies out , it was probably the time difference in China where we were at the time that caused any frustration. Fortunately we do not travel very often and in the years of having this property on the rental market , so far only one mildly negative review.
