This is " Villa Moderna" 4 Bedrooms in the exclusive wine country area of Shiloh Estates. If you are looking for the true high end luxury experience, Villa Moderna is sure to deliver. This is a special enviroment that must be experianced to be understood. The property is located at the end of Shiloh road, off 101 at the southern end of Healdsburg, about 4 miles from the square. This gated community is next door to famed Mayacama Golf Club and is set in a lovely and private setting with natural wild life and wine country views. This property is part of a 1600 acre community of only 35 homes including many of the area's famous families and celebrities. The location is only one exit away from Airport blvd featuring a private airport now offering daily commercial flights from LA, Seattle, and Las Vegas, provided by Horizon/Alaska airlines.
As a Vacation home, Villa Moderna is the finest VRBO Healdsburg listing. The property lends itself to many memorable moments including relaxing and enjoying sunset views with your favorite wine on the wrap around terrace, or catering an intimate dinner party by local chefs with family and friends. A perfect place to take advantage of Healdsburg's many planned events, from Grape to Glass to Wine maker dinners, or a fabulous dinner at Cyrus Restaurant.
The property comprises 4500 square feet of recently improved space, offering 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. The exterior is a Mediterranean styled building with ivy growing up the facade and a wrap around terrace with unobstructed views of the valley. The interior is decidedly contemporary with heated marble floors and wood flooring in the sleeping areas. The finishes are all top of the line featuring Phillipe Starck designed bath hardware, custom doors, and a custom stairwell. The kitchen is a large gourmet kitchen with all of the modern appliances, including 2 Miele dishwashers, a refrigerated walk in wine room, a warming drawer, and an oversized island. There are two living rooms including the raised private living room featuring a 70" HDTV with Blue Ray DVD and Dish Network. The lower Living room, Dining area and Kitchen are equipped with a central Bang and Olufsen stereo system. All bedrooms are equipped with either 37" - 50" HDTV with DVD and dish network. The master bath has a dramatic walk in rain shower, and a Duravit Starck whirlpool tub. The closet area is a dramatic walk in area with beautiful mahogany mill work.
The house is set on eight wonderful view acres, double gated. The main building features the public living spaces with 3 queen and king bedrooms and feature fine Italian high thread count linens, down pillows and comforters. The home is equipped with high speed wireless internet service. On the grounds there is a Private Jacuzzi brand hot tub for 8 people and an adjacent 400 square feet deck with valley views. The main arrival has parking for up to 10 cars and a 3 car garage. Located only 5 minutes to 101 this is an extremely private and quiet location as there are no homes within view of the house and grounds.

The pictures and descriptions don't do this property justice - it is much better! We recently had a wonderful time enjoying this beautiful house, grounds, and views. The bedroom arrangements were perfect for all 4 couples; everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The owner was a delight to work with and offered excellent advice on local restaurants and attractions. We would recommend this property to even the most distinguishing seasoned travelers.

A group of friends (4 couples) got together to celebrate all the guys turning 40 this year. The house was PERFECT, & the owners were wonderful. We went wine tasting, golfed, etc - but had the most fun just hanging around the house. The views were gorgeous, there was plenty of room in the living areas for us to be together, & the bedrooms/bathrooms were perfectly situated to give each couple their own space. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a memorable weekend! Would definitely reccomend.

Eight of us stayed at Villa Moderna for a long weekend in September. As an interior designer and a huge fan of modern decor, this place could not have been more of a treat. The owner greeted us at the house, poured us glasses of wine and patiently & thoroughly went over all the luxurious amenities, and there were many. the master bathroom is breathtaking, as is the view and pretty much every aspect of the decor. it was impeccably clean and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. would highly recommend this place with absolutely no hesitation. a very special place.

Our group of 4 couples enjoyed this beautiful estate for three nights, four days, and left wishing we could stay longer. The home and guest cottage were immaculate and amenities provided by the Owner were first class. We could not have felt more welcomed or "at home". We enjoyed the sunset each evening after our daily vinyard tours. We grilled out the first evening and two couples cancelled dinner reservations on the last night so we could enjoy more time at the Villa. With more than one living area, spacious bedrooms and baths, and inviting outdoor visiting areas, there was plenty of privacy for four couples, which was a priority.The Shiloh Canyon area is quiet and secluded, with gorgeous views and beautiful wildlife. I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous home, made even more attractive by the hospitality of the Owner.

villa modern is one of the nicest houses ive ever stayed in and ive rented quite a few houses from vrbo. we go up to tahoe a lot during the winter and a few weekends in the summer are spent in different spots around the bay area as well. david was super gracious in negotiating a rate. there are some owners that are really actually pretty mean when it comes to negotiating. the house is straight out of an interior design magazine with marble floors and leather couches like the ones you see at ligne rosset or roche bobois. the bathrooms are stocked with mini shampoos and conditioners so you dont have to bring your own. the detached cottage is in similar shape as the main house. there have been cases where the cottages are not in the photos for a reason but not at villa moderna! the kitchen was a joy to cook in. with two dishwashers, there was no stress about having dirty dishes. the center island made it very social as people could gather and talk etc. perhaps the most breathtaking part about the house was the views and surrounding grounds. the deck next to the hot tub was comfortable for dinner or lounging as were the lounge chairs in front of the living room. the sunset was really nice from there. the hot tub itself was also a conversation piece for days! it had color changing lights and also its own built in speakers! stars were very clearly visible from the tub. upon arrival craig came to greet us and show us around the house. there were even cheese and crackers to welcome us. way above and beyond what we expected! i think any renter would be in awe of the house, the surrounding, and the owners.

Villa Moderna is the ideal setting for a wine country getaway. The house, decor and amenities leave nothing to be desired. We had four couples for the weekend and were wanting for nothing in the spacious accommodations--we will certainly be back for more in the future.
