  Our previous vacations have always been at All Inclusive resorts in either Mexico or Dominican Republic, but after our last trip to Mexico we got tired of the AI’s and wanted to try something different. We also wanted to go to an island that was safe, has perfect weather and a lot of activities to do, so that we could venture out, on our own every day, to go on adventures and explore. On that note, I had heard great things about Aruba and decided that would be the best fit for us, at that point, we decided to rent a condo. We looked at several places online before we came across the perfect place – Waycamaya Village. From the first email onward, dealing with Anita and Dave has been effortless. Anita always promptly answered any concerns or questions that I had. She called me and also answered all my questions as well. I was impressed from the start and I felt at ease. Since this was our first time renting a place in a foreign country, we were both a bit skeptical, however when I heard Anita’s voice on the phone and her professionalism I knew we would be in good hands. We had been planning our trip for a year, so on the day we arrived and as we approached the condo door (6A) I was a bit nervous... I slowly opened the door to the condo, walked through and it was even better then the photos online. It was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated...then you walk out into this garden that is hidden from the road and you feel as though you have walked into your own private paradise. It’s just gorgeous and dreamy. With all of the plants groomed to perfection that surround the inviting pool. With the birds chirping and water fall that makes this tranquil sound as it drops into the pool below. I was so excited because for 10 days this would be our very own ‘secret oasis.’ Far enough away from the crowds yet close enough to Palm and Eagle beach which made it easy to go at any time and enjoy all the night life and beaches whenever we wanted to. There is a grocery store right across the street which made it very convenient for us, if we forgot something. Although, don’t worry about getting groceries in Aruba because around almost every corner you will find a grocery store. Our honeymoon was filled with wonderful memories that we will cherish for a life time. The sad part was that we had to leave, but the ‘happy’ part is that we will be returning next year, but for two weeks next time. Should I start my count down now?

  Hi Anita and Dave, Just wanted to tell you both what a pleasurable experience it has been meeting you. Anita, even during course of communicating to organize the condo rental you were a queen of charm and professionalism, you just made whole process easy and uncomplicated. Wacamaya was everything it is described to be on the rental site. That was such a relief because in past have been disappointed many times when complex doesn't live up to its description. Wacamaya is what a vacation should always be, comfortable, relaxing and it definitely has a " HOME " feeling. We loved the first week getting around on foot and bus everywhere. Condo is perfectly situated only a 10 minute walk to high rise beach near Marriot, and second week with the car rental gave us a chance to visit so many other attractions that were a little distance away. Anita, you are a true sweetheart. I have witnessed how your kindness has no limits, not only do you move heaven and earth to make your condo renters as comfortable and happy as possible but I have seen how wide your kindness spreads when you actually went out of your way to help a renter who rented from another owner who was not available at that time, by lending her your own personal hairdryer. Wacamaya is a true gem and anyone lucky enought to rent there will get the lucky bonus of having to deal with Anita and Dave "rare gems". What else would we expect to find in a garden of eden "Wacamaya" in ARUBA. Gia and Walter

  01/01/12 Hi Anita, We had the most wonderful time at your condos in Aruba (14B and 5B). It was a perfect location - away from the heavy traffic from the high rise hotels and crowds, yet close enough to the action and beaches. The apartments were well maintained; beautiful inside and out. It met all of our needs. The kids enjoyed the pool every day and the premises had a beautiful garden to enjoy. Aruba is a very beautiful island, and we were able to visit it all! I have to say Manny was excellent to work with after we arrived and on checkout. Everything was exactly as you described. Thanks so much for allowing our family to enjoy your condos. We also appreciate your attention to all the details. We gave your info to tripadvisor a place that gives reviews of places- hope you don't mind sharing your secret hide away. We gave it 5 stars. Sincerely, Carolyn Fond du Lac, WI P.S. Kevin and I loved our trip to Aruba. Unit 6A was absolutely perfect! Beautifully decorated and had all the comforts of home! We enjoyed sitting around your beautiful pool and meeting so many nice guests! Pictures of your courtyard and pool do not do them justice! Truly a tropical paradise! What a treat it was to have a supermarket across the street for those little incidentals you sometimes forget at the last minute. So many things about Aruba we loved. To name one, Boca Catalina Beach. Kevin had the best time snorkeling there while I enjoyed watching the kids play on the beach and meeting people that came by bus from the cruise ships. And so many activities going on - the catamarans and Jolly Pirates ships with snorkelers, kite surfers and parasailing, not to mention the beautiful view surrounding the beach. And just minutes from Wacamaya Village! The restaurants in Aruba are absolutely fantastic! We wanted to have dinner on the beach at sunset and we were not disappointed. I thought I would mention a few places that I thought were exceptional for their service, food and ambiance: Mathews Beachside, Barefoot, Flying Fishbone (all on the beach), La Tratorria at the lighthouse (for its beautiful view of the island), Bingos (great food - lunch & dinner), Gianni's and Texas de Brazil (Kevin loved the buffet/salad bar). We hope to visit with you again next year. There are still more restaurants to visit and we just loved vacationing in Aruba! Thank you for making this one of our best vacations ever!!   We had a great time on our trip! This was our second time to Aruba and we love the island. The condo was better than we could have imagined and made this our best trip yet. The condo is so comfortable and better than any hotel room you could stay in. We have never slept in a more comfortable bed. The condo was very clean and beautiful. The full kitchen was nice for cooking meals. We had lots of fun at the pool without having to deal with a lot of people and the other guests were very nice. It was great having a grill to use at any time of the day. Needless to say we would love to stay in your condo on our next visit to Aruba. Also, we discovered Arashi Beach that is not far from the condo. My husband and I think this is the best beach on the island.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  “We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Aruba. Wacamaya Village and 14B worked very well for us – quality comfort and surroundings that made for a pleasant vacation from wake up to head on the pillow time. We met many lovely people at Wacamaya Village and around the island. It was so nice to have the washer/dryer, fully functional kitchen, BBQ on the verandah and internet access. What would we do differently? rent a car and cell phone to pick up on arrival at the airport. We will be recommending Wacamaya Village and in particular 14B to friends and family“.   Our stay at the Wacamaya condo was fantastic! We consider it a hidden jewel on what is our favorite island in the Caribbean. The condo was most confortable, and well furnished. We enjoyed the courtyard, with pool and cascading waterfall. Took advantage of the barbecue on several nights. The local food stores are well stocked, convinced we had the best steaks ever! Especailly appreciated the warmth and friendliness of owners and guests, we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Planning another visit soon, expect it will be one of many Jane Cronk and Dave Adkins McLean, Virginia

  Staying at the Wakamaya Apts was a real treat! Not only was it clean & comfartable, but but the huge pool, garden setting and the friendliness & warmth of both the renters and guests added much to our stay. We are in the process of booking again for 2009 !!
