This cottage is located in the Beach Barber tract near Windansea beach and within 5 minutes (1 1/2 block) of one the most beautiful private beaches in San Diego (Marine St beach). La Jolla Village is 4 blocks north within walking distance of the cities finest restaurants and shops. Barbecue in your back courtyard filled with tropical plants while enjoying the sounds and smells of the nearby sea. A large lawn is available for croquet or other lawn games.
Nearby sites and activities: The world famous San Diego Zoo and Sea World are minutes away by automobile. Balboa Park is adjacent to the zoo and is the site of numerous notorious museums. La Jolla Cove with its famous seals and caves is minutes away and can be kayaked to easily from the Marine St beach--kayaks are available for rent in La Jolla.
The cottage was built in 1934 and is completely restored and refurbished, with original windows and beautifully refinished hardwood floors. It is an original Beach Barber tract home designed by architect Tom Shepherd and is a French Normandy style home. The back courtyard is also original with a fountain.
